It looks like it has crashed through a '97 Max Power magazine.

What could be in place of the wing? A duck tail spoiler? Something electric coming out of the boot lid?

(Serious question).

Nearly 2.3 tonnes, how do they make a car so heavy? Is it made out of tungsten? Even JLR struggle to make their Range Rovers that heavy.

The one sensible comment in this thread so far.

An adept high-performance road car, from one of the world's longest established high-performance road car brands, met with a barrage of predictable recycled opinions. Classic PH.
Quite.

Bentleys have always been the sporting, slightly louche gentleman's express, in the same way that a Rolls is a louche statement of significant wealth.

I personally designed that spoiler. If you've got nothing nice to say, I'd appreciate it if you didn't say anything at all.

Spoiler can be deleted and replaced with the standard, active rear spoiler.

Only 710 being made?! Outrageous. What if I can't get one? I'm appalled - I'm a consumer, I want everything now. It's my right, probably.

I'm assuming that as the car borrows so heavily from the VAG parts bin from the early 2000s that it is mostly fairly old tech under the skin.

Not to take away from those numbers though, and the fact that anyone I've ever talked to about them thought they were amazing cars to drive/own too.

You've only just noticed that the Continental is a bit on the portly side? It's been around for getting on 14 years now and has always been heavy so should hardly be a surprising statistic to anyone.

Looks good in general to my eye's. The rear wing does look a bit out of place though, maybe it could be deleted if you asked very nicely?

Companies such as Litchfield will get you a good and reliable 750bhp out of the V8. If I had the money that's the choice I'd make.

Like a fat powerlifter considering doing the 100 meter sprint lining up to Usain Bolt...

Seriously, why stop at 2.2 tonnes? Lets see it go for 3. And try crashing through a few more Halfords stores while they're at it. Because, you know, it needs more ugly tat to be plastered all over it. Just in case we missed the QE2 sized barge the first time.

FFS. What kind of retard buys this?

One little spoiler completely ruins an entire (epic) car?

Bit of an overreaction no?

Bit like kicking a super model out of bed because she has a small mole on her toe.

I know that I *should* like it, but I just don't. All Conti GTs leave me cold. Always have. I really don't know why.

Same reason why I never let that Cindy Crawford into my bed...despite her begging.
