That spoiler completely ruins it.
One little spoiler completely ruins an entire (epic) car?

Bit of an overreaction no?

Bit like kicking a super model out of bed because she has a small mole on her toe.
Yup, I'll stand by my comment. It looks like an afterthought.

Nearly 2.3 tonnes, how do they make a car so heavy? Is it made out of tungsten? Even JLR struggle to make their Range Rovers that heavy.
Comfort.

I think it look great.....but the rear spoiler is nasty. Can it be specced without?

What could be in place of the wing? A duck tail spoiler? Something electric coming out of the boot lid?

(Serious question).
Spoiler can be deleted and replaced with the standard, active rear spoiler.
Thank god for that. Is it wrong to like the interior? What a beast. Would be on my lottery list I think.

That steering wheel is horrendous! I'd expect that in a 90s Vauxhall. Can't say I like the wheels or the spoiler either.

That being said, I'd take one. First CGT I've said that about purely because it seems the first one that's a pleasure to hustle.

Love it, along with the older Supersport and GT3-R, such cool things, although i do think the styling should have been less like the GT3-R and more like the previous Supersport.

FFS. What kind of retard buys this?
They are probably similar to the type of person that would use the Halfords analogy 10 years after it stopped being funny.

The one sensible comment in this thread so far.

An adept high-performance road car, from one of the world's longest established high-performance road car brands, met with a barrage of predictable recycled opinions. Classic PH.
Having owned a 600hp GT Speed all I can say is it was very fast given its size, but sporty? Nah! Nice place to be though, but now the chintz seems to have gone too far. As I said in a previous thread, the worst sat nav/ media system of any car I have owned. Sold it after a year, it was a bit dull to drive and seriously unreliable

That and it is effectively a solid object, it has 12 cylinders, 2 turbos, 4wd and a super posh interior, it was never going to be an Elise competitor, a current FFRR weighs a similar amount but has less cylinders, a bigger interior doest make that much difference, extra sheet metal isnt a big proportion of the total, most of the weight is down low in the drivetrain and chassis, well the lower part of the monocoque.

You have to spec the spoiler, the standard car comes without.

There's far worse cars out there on the market at the moment.

My FiL had a 600bhp GT Speed and I drove it a fair bit. Couldn't really work out what it was for. Certainly wasn't remotely sporty and it didn't fit the GT role well either as it was way too noisy (tyres mostly). It was reasonably quick but not 600bph quick IMO. Lovely interior mind, even if the tech was horribly outdated even then.

Even if the unfortunate image didn't put me off I still can't see myself ever having one. V8 I hear is better.

The speed is basically just a slightly more powerful regular conti. The supersports(previous gen)was completely different and everything was tightened up quite a bit. Obviously still no out and out sports car but competent and coupled with that solid tank feeling was a great car if you only had one car that covered most bases. It was also a lot cheaper than this new one so here's hoping it drops in price quite quickly biggrin

I worry Bentley is chasing a certain geographical market, and if sales figures are all that VW want because the US government is chasing its many billions then good luck. For class the Continental is way off mark, as a drives car no thank you, nor as a social statement. However to impress certain oil rich nationals and some of the US consumer market they are doing very well. I wont be buying one nor am I impressed by the interior, the rear spoiler nor the front end. Time for a revamp Bentley and something more 2020 not 2002.

If you could take the mechanical tweaks and extra power and put it in a normal Conti, it'd be amazing.

I applaud Bentley for making something as in your face as this but I'd like it more if it was subtle.

Problem with the previous SS was it was ruinous to run, guy on the South Wales forum had one and he commented that it was hugely expensive to run - mainly consumables.

Rear spoiler looks like a lazy add-on. No doubt a competent heavyweight for the football fraternity.
