Transporter hire - Sheffield
Discussion
I have used them, October last year.
Prices are good - £110 for a day. Truck was 57 plate with 300,000 on the clock, and the cab definitely felt all of those 300,000 miles. However the truck never missed a beat, totally reliable and would easily do 80 on the motorway (unladen of course). There's a remote controlled electric winch, which is very useful and works well.
They don't have offices as such, just vans in various locations and you pick the truck up from a local agent. This might lead to some challenges around timing, but didn't for me.
I would definitely use them again.

I used transporterhire a few weeks ago. Picked up the truck on a thursday evening, loaded my elise with a blown headgasket friday morning and dropped the transporter back on friday afternoon. All from the nottingham based agent who isnt a massive distance from M1 J25 or J26 depending on which direction you come from.
Transporter had over 200000 miles, but drove really well for such high mileage. Only issue was us needing to jump start it because we used the electric winch without the engine running and took too much charge out of the battery.
