What car did you pass your test in?

Nissan Bluebird for all my lessons, then changed to a Pug 205 the week before the test.

My AA instructor's Focus. It was the first Mk2 Focus I'd ever seen and he had only had it a week so I had only had one lesson to get used to it. He was the area manager so it was the 2.0 Ghia and not the 1.6 LX that everyone else had.

Learnt initially in a BMW Mini One (banana yellow) but it was unreliable (clutches were too weak). Instructor then bought an Trophy Blue MG ZR 105+, this is whilst they were pretty new out in 2003. Bit small comfort wise but it wasn't bad overall. That got rear ending whilst on a lesson whilst the learner at the time (not me) was stationary at a red light. The replacement was a Fiesta 1.25 which I drove for 1.5hr, then had my 1st test. Failed that. Then the MG came back & I passed second time round.

I have a picture of the car I passed my test in XGS ..X, it belonged to a friends father. There are 3 other cortina's parked in a row next to it down a dodgy back lane, I'll have to look for the photo.

I started in 1980 in my Dad's Alfasud which was an orange colour if I remember, and I managed to get out in Mum's Mini Cooper at the same time. Passed my test at the third attempt (maybe 4th) in a Talbot Horizon.
