bolted on to an existing body, not designed around it hence no active wing, no air brake, no drag optimisation on straights etc.
I'd say it has an active rear wing, as well as an active front end, so pretty reasonable. As you say, not specifically done for it, so maybe not as effective, but writing it off is foolish.Yipper said:
The "controversy" over the record laptime is just amateur YouTubers desperate for attention with tinfoil conspiracy theories and p*ssed-off Porsche, Ferrari and McLaren fanatics who have yet to come to terms with Lambo as the new king of the Ring.
Lambo, Pirelli, Racelogic (VBOX) have all said the Huracan lap is genuine. Racelogic has even shared professional data publicly to independently support the lap. The article really needs to mention those elements.
Lambo now has the best-handling and fastest supercar on the planet. Lambo's engineering team, five-plus years in the making, is now in a whole different league to the rest of the entire industry.
The game has changed.
As much as I hate the Alt Right "there is no truth" everybody is untrustworthy rhetoric Lamborghini have some bullst form more so than most manufacturers. This is my estimate of probability of truth.
The lap was accurately timed, no trick editting stitching best segments together. (V-Box) 90%
The tyres are road legal (Pirelli) 95%
The tyres are the same as I will get on the road car and not having a stickier and shorter lived compound on the same carcass 50%
The car has a regular production engine and has not been blue printed/selected as a good one. It hasn't been chipped and run on higher quality/octane fuel. (Lamborghini) 25%
So about 11% chance even if you are Stefan Bellof you will be able to match that lap time with a randomly chosen production car.
I doubt it has been lightened or that it's running different suspension. Given it is a track special why not just use that suspension component on the production vehicle.
Still a very impressive achievement it's only 10 seconds slower than a GT3 car.

Nice car. Not the wildest styling for a Lambo. Funny how they now glide over acceleration times and focus on the track time. Those pesky blown Maccas and Fezzas. Feel they've missed a trick not offering RWD and a manual box for this car but nice car nonetheless.
Agreed - That would be a proper differentiatorgigglebug said:

Good news about the price which is much better than the estimated price when I ordered
Was there any indication of there being a choice of tyres being available when you ordered Juno or have you yet to finalise and specs? However there is a much nicer center lock wheel option in a better style

I will finalise specification at Geneva, they weren't aware of any specific options when I ordered last year!!!

That's cool. It's not a completely rubbish wheel but the rest of the design is quite solid and clean in comparison to the wiryness of the wheels if that makes sense. However there is a much nicer center lock wheel option in a better style
I would guess you'll have the choice of the Corsa or Trofeo tyres as well?
