This Yaris does look like a proper little machine. I just feel like Toyota may blow it on the price, given what they were asking for the GT86 when they was first released. I reckon at least 23k, which is a bit steep, no matter which way you look at it.

I still think Renault can come back from all of this. The new 200 EDC and the 220 Trophy are still great cars underneath. The powers-that-be just need to stop being so arrogant and just offer the power of choice and a bit more bespoke bodywork.

Renault showed their full potential with the R.S.16. But, honestly, people weren't even asking for that full formula. Just give us the flared arches/bodykit, a manual gearbox (option) and a bit more power from the 1.6t. The rest can be forgiven.

You know what, that isn't half bad looking for a Yaris.

shame they didn't widen the front and rear arches a bit more.
Agreed, I do like a car to be a bit on the understated side, but that's just boring!

Still, it sounds like quite a package, it could be very interesting, if they don't water it down completely.

I'd love a hot Twingo more.

Something like 150hp with the engine in the rear and some proper geo set up.

That would be like a love letter to the R5 Turbo
here you are then...sorry, no rear engine on this one...

People salivating over a supercharger, LSD and inexplicably, Sachs dampers need to realise it won't make it any faster or any better to drive than an outgoing Fiesta ST. Let's just wait til the thing is on the roads before deciding it's greater than the sum of it's parts.
You go ahead and wait, it'll be sold out before it turns a wheel.
If what's expected in this thread comes true, limited numbers and high cost, I don't doubt it. smile

+1

It definitely needs a more purposeful stance.

Disclaimer: by stance, I don't mean -5.0* camber on the rear wheels...

Its looks really bland to me but I love the formula of lightweight,200bhp and an lsd, so it could be a corker.
