Yup, despite there being thousands of comments on people doing this, they continue!!
Of course, your sum up is correct and why would anyone want 2 Bentley's when one alone that's 13 years old would probably mug your bank account if it went wrong. One of the most bizarre comparisons I've seen yet!
At least you get 3 years warranty with the new car.
its worth ticking the 5 year warranty option if you plan to keep it, but it is also handy when you sell them Of course, your sum up is correct and why would anyone want 2 Bentley's when one alone that's 13 years old would probably mug your bank account if it went wrong. I think the Germans are going to start to finding it very difficult to sell cars. The euro exchange rate must be killing them. I was at a BMW dealer this week. 220d discounted to £38k, 320d estate £42k, M4 with options £82k. All three occupy a similar position on the stupidity scale as this RS3 at £50k+. Even the lease deals that are designed to trick people who can't add up are looking expensive.

i would say they make the RS3 look good value in comparison I like the sportback version like a mini RS6 pity they didn't give it the RS6 arch treatment.
Not sure what it comes with but keep it under 50k and get a little discount and in the current market it's not crazy priced, after all the next rung up the ladder M3 DCT CP/RS5/C63 re all close to 65-70k with a few options.

I like all the price comments, as though most of would actually going to spend £50K on anything!
I don't think I am doing too badly - though I could be deluded - but £10K on something that was £40K five or seven years ago is as far as I go.
Surely even those of us who do drive one home will be on a lease plan, or am I deceiving myself? I do too many miles for personal lease.
If this is within my budget in a few years, I will look then.
(Good luck to those you can and would. Without you, there would be no cars for me to buy.)

yes, its basically the full warranty for an extra 2 years, but it can only be purchased when the car is optioned, not once delivered.
Son got an 8P RS3 used at 3 years old (the car that is) and came with 2 years warranty. I'm assuming he will get the option to continue it (like his last A3) once the warranty expires. It was a monthly thing on the last one which they said could be continued indenfinately. Nors said:

They really won't struggle. People will want the cars and pay whatever they cost. Thats the way it has always been.Nors said:

I agree, more second hand buyers ought to appreciate that without new buyers they would have nothing to buy more often rather than the often said "people who buy new or lease are crazy"
I feel a great debt of gratitude to new car buyers/leasers. That doesn't mean I don't think they're crazy, though. Matt Bird said:

It's like piston heads and Evo were at an entirely different event. Evo says the RS3 reaches "new heights" positively loves the car...

Hello!http://www.evo.co.uk/audi/rs3/19070/2017-audi-rs3-...
I thought this might come up. Put really simply I didn't get to drive the car on the same route as Dan did, which sounds like it was a lot more fun! He managed to drive the car on some quite slippery second-gear hairpins (see his Twitter for the video) which revealed another side to its character. Having only felt slight suggestions of that on my test drive, I wasn't willing to commit to an opinion on it. Maybe a damp and dank UK day will reveal it too.
Put it this way: if your only experience of a person is their strait-laced and reasonable work demeanour, you will have one opinion of them. If you only experience them as a bit of a giggle on a night out you will have another. I think that's what has happened here. Certainly I would be very surprised if the RS3 felt decidedly rear-driven in the UK but we shall see! As I said, I think the RS3 is a good car but still isn't the most engaging.
Cheers!
Matt

I did suggest you drove the ACS M4 and you obliged and agreed it was very good, so I guess it can be all down to the roads and conditions you happen to drive the car on.
A road test is just a snap shot in time rather than a definitive answer.

Wow, 5 posts before the haters emerge.....Audi must be getting better
if they had made it look like the concept my deposit would have been down 2 years agoI do not see "flaired arches" on that one either.
You want RS3 to look like an M2 or something? M2 looks ridiculous, absolutely no class, some kind of romanian-gypsy-style.
Also, I liked the Daytona Grau pearl-effect paint with matching 5-spoke alloys on my TTRS. The looks was never a problem for me (I do not like the busy M2-like front of the new TTRS) it was the understeer under gas that made me sell my 18-month-old car and get a 911.
