I'm not sure that this is an original "S".

The yellow "S" was registered "M1 TWR" and features in this Clarkson video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wekbxaQXz50

That one has four point harnesses and what appears to be a suede steering wheel. The car in the advert appears to have conventional seatbelts and a plastic steering wheel (although I accept these could have been changed). Perhaps the vendor can confirm if this is "M1 TWR"?

wonderful car, not sure colour does it any favours though - such a large, dramatic car needs a more sober suit...

This car appeared in the Regent street motor show a few months ago. Looks lovely although I am not sure I am a fan of the headlights, I prefer the original. There are some info on the windscreen at the time:

I remember testing one in the '90s...

Sadly, no test track heroics to brag about; it was in our tropical test cell to see if the air-con was up to the job! smile
Was it? smile

I'd give this one garage space - fabulous beast.

Always loved these apart from the rear. The tail lamp rear arrangement always looks unfinished compared to the front.

I saw quite possibly this very car at the Classic Car Show at Excel a few weeks ago. Until I stumbled upon it I didn't know they existed. Very cool car, not sure on the colour though

Ordinarily I'd agree, but it works surprisingly well in practice.

Nice but much prefer the looks of the original. The wing doesn't really work visually

That is stunning. Worth a Euromillions ticket or two tonight I think.

Love those gauges built into the driver's door.

Shouldn't the rocker-box covers say 'Austin Metro'? :-)

If I could, I'd take the F40 before this, but I wouldn't blame anybody if they decided that they preferred this instead.

Never been one for the styling. Proportions all wrong and cumbersome, in the same way as the old NSX.

XJ220 favourite supercar of all time... A car that made me love Jaguar despite not knowing anything else that they created at the time, the halo effect was strong with this one. Ultimate bedroom poster car....

Would have both if I could...

Clarkson had a drive about 100 years ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wekbxaQXz50

And Tiff's earlier report on the original car: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOy5wSOyats

I was told a story of a yellow XJ220.

Apparently the owner of a silver XJ220 took the car to Don Laws along with a picture of his yellow helicopter. He asked for the car to be repainted to match the colour of his helicopter. However, when it was done he decided he did not like the colour after all and sold the car.

I am not sure if the story is true or not but as yellow is not a launch colour of the XJ220 I presume it would have been painted at some point.
