That's one for the "cars I didn't know existed" thread.

Looks bloody awful though.

2018 Rolls Royce Phantom test mule. Spotted this whilst walking home from work on Friday in South Wales.

Fantastic spot.
yes I miss the incongruous car thread. Does it still exist in some form? This is a thread topper.

Could potentially be an engineer who was doing a long trip and they wanted to see how it behaved. Have heard stories of similar things happening at Bentley & AML
My next door neighbour's son works for Aston. Despite being in his mid 20's he often comes home in an Aston, he is doing corrosion testing and has to walk around the car spraying it periodically with a saline solution. It would be fair to say that the engineering test cars are not always fully complete with all sorts of bits of trim missing.

You mean the Brabus?

Boxed in the rear wheels to reduce drag. And thus increase SPEED biggrin

Love the lunacy of Brabus stuff

Almost certainly an engineer, who's been itching to have a go, but has had to wait for the press release as he doesn't have a garage to hide it in at home.

If I were RR's PR dept. I'd be having words about who takes what where. This image doesn't align with its target customer base.

Having said that, as an abstract photo, it does tick all of the boxes for sticking one finger up to the elitists laugh

PS: photo also one for the Bad Parking Thread!

Hi there,

What a great post, am I right in thinking this is just parked outside a house ?

Regards

Tim
It certainly looks like it. I love that it looks so out of place parked there. Its badly parked on too small a drive, on what looks like a fairly average (or even run down) housing estate smile

I doubt the any of the Rolls Royce target demographic will either be driving past that particular driveway or spending any of their spare time between meetings and the opera to happen upon some forum threads.

Also, they clearly wouldn't even know that the car is a Rolls Royce.

Because it isn't.

As I was driving, I failed to get a photo, but on Tuesday morning I spotted a Spyker C8 turning left onto the A652 / Gelderd Road at Birstall, West Yorks.

One one I've ever seen.

Hi there,

Aston Martin Nottingham had their official launch party last night. Swung by today for a nosey and although the showroom was largely empty as they moved everything round after the event there were a couple of nice bits in the service area out the back

Shame AM didn't put the back end of the One-77 on to the back of the DB11. Missed an open goal there IMHO.

I'm not sure these count in here, but they stood out on the local Aldi car park

Love shots of expensive cars in the local cheap supermarket, my local Aldi often has BMW Z8 parked up in it.

Went out to Lotus Silverstone this weekend and this Evora GT430 sport was looking lovely. Maybe not a 'supercar' but they will definitely be rare.

That's 'just' the GT430. The Sport loses the rear wing and front splitter.
