As I ambled about looking at them more closely the size of the Turbo's brakes intrigued me. The other one was a Carrera and while not a Porsche expert its comparatively small brakes suggested the Turbo was a bit special.
The Turbo S has ceramic brakes (yellow calipers) as standard. The Carrera has smaller diameter steel brakes (red calipers) as standard.
Rapid that the Turbo S undoubtedly is, it's main problem is lack of driver involvement detachment and little feedback plus sheer weight, and from a drivers perspective there are far better namely GT Porsches and albeit a very limited number of offerings from other manufacturers.

Thanks for that. The couple who climbed in and drove it away were a bit older than me which puts them in their seventies. Which was a surprise. Good on 'em. The Carrera has smaller diameter steel brakes (red calipers) as standard.

This may be the press car, in which case the driver is possibly a journo as the other day, this was outside
FNE is usually on the press cars, do they use them as demos too?
