I saw this trundling very slowly through central London (near Buckingham Palace I think) when we took our eldest to the Natural History Museum a few weeks ago.

Looks like an Ultima trying to be a Bentley Le Mans racer. There’s a similar custard yellow one that drives out on the roads not far from my house occasionally. Cant decide if I like this or if the decals and OTT Bentley badges make it a bit naff.

On the plus side, the exhaust was loud enough to make my chest vibrate as it accelerated away to about 15mph laugh

That's really quite sad tbh badging an Ultima up to look like a Bentley racer. Its a 20yr old kit car with a 5.7 pushrod v8, accept it for what it is.
Maybe just a fun tribute to Bentley when it did a roadtrip the Lemans? - that was my first thought...

... and everyone hate taking stickers off.
It's more than just a sticker job. It has custom body panels, and the original owner even had new rocker covers with the Bentley logo made for the Chevy V8.

It's still absolutely wrong as a copy of anything Bentley related, I don't get why you'd do that to an Ultima, its a car brand that can stand on its own. Each to there own though.

They were only made in silver weren't they?

I mean, I know you repaint or wrap it but I don't think RSI's ever hit a point where they were worthless so it's unlikely someone would mod it like that. Bet the OEM wheels were worth a fair chunk as well.
Yes all silver except 1 blue car which was built for someone but I forget who
Mr Piech got the blue one, special order.

Even as an homage (I won't say copy) to the Bentley Speed 8? Which is kind of a 20 year old kit car with a V8?

Real one?

I'm no expert but that front end looks off to me.

Happy to be proven wrong!

Whenever I see a Cobra or a GT40 my first thought is that it must be a replica. I’m assuming with a P registration that it is a replica?
And that’s the problem when you own the real thing. Every know-all comes up to you in petrol stations and tells you your car is a replica.

(Not inferring that you do!)

Good spot, man's got taste!

This is the 2nd new RS I've seen. Good plate too.

Had a look at a white/red example couple months back. It's very "busy" isn't it! laugh

Funds not withstanding, I'll take a 992 Touring instead in a muted colour. I'm not a good enough driver to notice or exploit the differences on a track.

Wouldn't that just be the normal GT3 Touring then?

it's certainly closer to it but there are many more differences between the GT3 RS and the ST than there are between the GT3 and the GT3 touring. It has the engine from the RS as I understand it.

Sorry, no photo as I was driving, but saw a La Ferrari in a petrol station near Worthing on sunday.

There was another car there as well, purple, maybe a McLaren of some sort.
