Rubbish. It's just a bloody car. It's not going to disintegrate or explode just because it's in a public car park.

The point was the tight nature of the local roads not the car park.

But a poor person might look at it and devalue it.

I agree, I know a few people who have these and a couple of other "super" cars, all on finance and not crazy wealthy.
Also there are people out there (I'm one) who will drive to and park cars like this in "normal" places with out worrying about what could happen.
I have done for many years in McLarens and Astons (over 70k miles worth) and only ever had one issue, a careless door ding.
After all it is a car and designed to be driven around wink

In which case I would have said:

Come to think of it, it's a Ferrari. I'm not entirely sure that is what they are designed for these days.

laugh fair point well made!
A mate was recently told he cannot do more then 4k miles a year in his F12 because it would drastically reduce its value frown
God forbid - a 3 year old car with 12k miles on it!
I did that in 9 months in my 650

Thanks, great info. So this LHD car is actually a very different spec...

The latest generation 7-series and 5-series are quite similar from some angles.
However I believe this is a G30 B5 BiTurbo

That's a 7 series not a 5 series though.

A couple of decent spots in last few days but alas no pics as was driving both times.

Yesterday i was passed by 5 X Cullinans in a row going up the M6 near Carlisle.

And today at 8.15 in rush hour traffic, a yellow Senna on the M6 near Warrington.

5 X Cullinans! Are you sure? It was probably just 5 Stobart lorries going back to base at Carlisle

The first one went past and my first thoughts were "bloody hell that's big"
Then 4 more. 3 were black, 1 white and 1 silver.
A few seconds later a Q7 went past and it looked small in comparison.

Tough call. Do you drive it every day in the hope that it gets damaged, or hide it away so that nobody has to look at it.

I hated the way these looked when they were launched, and time has not been kind.

If i had a 959, i'd not only drive it every day, someone would have to drag me out of the thing on a night

DVLA has that down as 3400cc (June 1989), whereas the 959 was 2849cc (1986 - 1988).

The car looks correct and is also correct LHD, so maybe usual DVLA cock-up?

EDIT: just seen this very point has been raised over in the classics forum
