What’s with the short a Cobra thing? Must be a kei-car based something?

Really, the blue “66” “Competition Baby Cobra” jobbie? Doesn’t look mid-engined.

Here are a few shots from Tokyo from recent months...

The 3 piece alloys make me think that could be an E60 rather than an E500. Mercedes only approved 12 of the Limited versions for the ROW (back when AMG were a different company), but the local Mercedes and AMG facilities in Japan made a few more, but never the less, very rare and a great spot.

Go for strong money now. Check this:

Agree, great cars. I’ve seen a couple of E60, Japan made, cars in Tokyo - they’re pretty rare. But “standard” 500E and E500 are actually comparatively common around central Tokyo - I can think of three within a few minutes walk from where I live.

And there are always several for sale in the classifieds, these are the first two from the Goo Net website current listings:

I’m still here in Tokyo, although my photos are mostly iPhone shots and nowhere as good the ones STIFree posts.
They may only be iPhone shots, but the sheer quantity of quality spots, with surprisingly good quality for a phone, it doesn't matter!

Cappucino is front mid-engine layout, so behind the front axle but still ahead of the driver.

The plate might be a clue that it's a 500?

250 TR I thought, could be mistaken though.
Vents seem more like the 500TR to me but I’m no Ferrari anorak.

It’s time like this I wish Tigerkoi was still posting on this thread!
It's a 250 TR 'pontoon-fender'.
It's a replica 250 TR built on a 250 GT PF coupe by Giordanengo.

Is this a proper Alpina?
I don't know.
Great to see a tidy E30 being used though.

With 1 exhaust, is it not a 4 cylinder? Not that there's anything wrong with that. Back in the day, before lockdown, I had a lift home in a 318 e30 cab, what a sweet little thing that was despite being on 160k miles. Also in white like that one.
