By changing that front grill, it is definitely less offensive to the eyes. But let’s be honest, it’s never going to be a looker.

Shame. The early version was such a fine looking car.

First one of these I've seen, I think.

Aggressive looking beast, must be a decent alternative to a RS7.

Aggressive looking beast / amorphous blob (especially in footballer-matte)?

Have to agree here. I love my Merc's but that looks like an absolute dogs' dinner.

I agree the colour choice isn't what most (including me) would go for, but I do like the car itself.

I've had many Mercedes in the past. 8, I think. I gave up when they started being all about making a stupid noise. Bought a C63, and felt like a bellend for a couple of months before I sold it.

Since then, they've added to their "Shouty tt" engines with a load of new "gold teef" interiors.

+1 couldnt get my head round its looks, bought an S63 instead, awful looking thing, worse in the flesh to.

Really interesting car, from what I have read/watched these look very appealing.

I'm very tempted. Was planning on a test drive back in March; will possibly arrange one next month.

Mate of mine got one earlier this year. Pre reg with about £20k off. Heavy and not my cup of tea but he is a Lexusophile and seems to love it.

I'm generally not into Japanese cars (although I do have an MX5 mouldering on the drive, awaiting sale), but I really like the LC500.

The old Vantage is one of the nicest looking modern cars out there. Thought about buying one many times.

This was the LC500h, V6 hybrid not the V8. 0-60 in around 5 seconds which didn’t feel exactly quick but the 4 wheel steering definitely gave confidence for a heavy sports car over the Peak District. It’s certainly very striking to look at and I would imagine is a genuine alternative to an AM V8 or Conti GT. There’s a rag top coming soon too....although it probably will be a tin top convertible!

It's a soft top.

What did you make of the interior? It appears extremely well made. The interior door handles look like works of art!

Amazing interior but the infotainment system takes a LOT of getting used to (its a touch pad which was super sensitive) and IMO isn’t a patch on the BMW 7 series which is much more user friendly and easier to see and operate. The sat Nav had a tiny screen and again isn’t up with the Germans systems. Over all....it just didn’t set my world on fire for a GT car, maybe the V8 with its soundtrack might be a little more exciting but won’t have the 35 MPG of the hybrid.
