That is lovely. But almost seems plain compared to the extreme cars of the moment.
That's why it's lovely.
yes
Agreed
As an ex McLaren owner I'd take this on looks over their current crop
On performance I'd still probably take a McLaren wink

Badged up as a RS500 but wouldn’t know if it’s the real deal or now

Looks like an E plate , so likely to be a 500 , has got the visible 500 bits too ,the 2nd rear spoiler and the extra intake

under the main front grille .

Most normal 3 door Cosworths are D plate .

The only thing non-RS500 that I can see is the fog lamps. They were usually provided boxed in the boot, the space used for extra cooling.
Only 52 originally painted at the factory in Moonstone Blue

Looks like a skoda fabia to me, hard to tell from that picture though! Or if you mean that awful Van I have no idea.

That'll probably be a Toyota chaser, very popular cars, i think they were known as the four door supra!
I do quite like it to be honest.
Exactly that^ some have the 2JZ-GTE twin turbo lump, they can certainly surprise some pretty quick stuff with very little mods
Chasers only ever came with the 1jz from factory.

Edit: you may be thinking of the Toyota aristo, which came with a 2jz offering but only with the automatic gearbox.

I know this is a totally abstract observation, but back in 1988/1989 Sussex Police had a Moonstone Grey RS500, I know this because I was interrogated by the officers one night whilst coming home from work enthusiastically with the Quattro. It was a ‘naughty boy’ mutual respect car enthusiast type discussion that’d probably never happen today.

Yeah it was an E reg, E500 SOC I believe.

Pulled up outside of a house who owns a white Escort Cosworth with incredibly low mileage I’m lead to believe

I briefly looked at one of these but just couldn’t agree with the rear lights. Too 1990s.

Ironic as I really want them as an upgrade for my non-GT R8; they look much better against a black car. smile

...oh, and the wing too!

Wheels don't sit correctly in the arches for me. Offset not right perhaps.

Spotted in Auckland when I was taking dog for a walk. I know a modern Mercedes would be objectively better in every way but that just looked so good.
