Not quite a supercar, but a high end luxury car. Rolls-Royce Phantom 8 standard wheelbase limousine.

It was spotted on the M42 this morning.

Captured on my Nextbase dashcam.

Reg no: V1

Standard wheelbase?

He must have come upon hard times.

Owner probably had to choose between the number plate or extra legroom in the back.

It's a tough time for the very well monied.

Maybe we could set up a donation page for them?

Imagine having to have your knees that close to your staff’s seat...

I now can put out a correction: it is indeed a extended wheelbase, having compared the length of the rear window frames on both SWB and EWB variants.

An old one that I’ve just remembered, parked up where I get my car serviced.

More local spotted .

This car turns out to be part of a small classic car hire firm fleet .

Other cars seen in the same street include their LHD E Type , a Spitfire and a classic Mini .

That is absolutely stunning. How many kidneys do I have to sell to get it?

Looks like a 250GTE 2+2, so around £450 - £550k ish?

Blast from the past! That's my car, and pleased to say that I still have it. I'd have thought one kidney would be sufficient, prices have hardly moved for a decade or more, it's a V12, 4 seater and overshadowed by more famous 250 variants. I love it though, it's a glorious thing to smoke around in.

Maybe the scenic route biggrin

Though the M60 is hardly what I'd call scenic.

anyway, what awful places to start and end a journey!
On the plus side, Birmingham's not full of smug, weapons grade bellends who're so far up their own backsides they think that living anywhere South of The Midlands automatically makes them superior wink

That's a comparative bargain c/w the SWB variant (different car I realise).

No, it's full of Birmingham-style bellends who think having a flash car to tool around in (usually a 'premium' German saloon) automatically makes them superior.

Not saying London's not worse (and the Home Counties have their own flavour too)...but B'ham is just the same sort of big city (except uglier and with less culture)...I'd be in no hurry to go there...
