I'm kind of upset there are more TVR Sagaris registered in the UK than that. We think ~200 made. Ever. Over 50% still out there, with another 70 SORN. Not bad.

The Cougar was a funny one. It replaced the well liked (and I recall it was!) but rather poorly driving Probe from a time when Ford were totally on their game. The contemporary Mondeo, Focus and Puma were all superb handling and riding cars but the Cougar seemed to really miss the mark.

The Probe was ancient but the Cougar based on the Mondeo, you'd expect it to be much better but I guess by that point the march of the Germans was on and a front wheel drive coupe based on a Mondeo wasn't what people wanted.

An ex-gf of mine's father had the cougar as his dream car, he talked for ages about getting one and then bought one of those generation 1 Focus' with a saloon boot that replaced the Orion. Weird bloke all round.
