A (10 year old!!) MP4-12C is still a great thing to see in the flesh.

I think it's the best looking Mclaren of all.
Yes, they had a good start styling-wise but have failed to build on it ever since imho.

Because he likes to drive his cars and maybe does not have much time otherwise, so every opportunity to take it out is a good one? the bumpers and splitters on most of my cars are scratched, broken or chipped - happens when you use your car and can be repaired for a price if required. my dog also rides in the cars (even dirty after a hike in the mountains).
Good on the guy for using it, I applaud that - so much better than the polish and show (or polish and hope it increases in value) brigade.
In the Service Dept at Newport Pagnell years ago there was a twin-supercharged Vantage looking very bedraggled both inside and out, in for service and valet.

"Whatever happened to that?" I asked.
"It's his dog walking car."

I don't know if this counts as they may or may not have been rare at the time. This was in the late 70's early 80's a few doors from my childhood home. Certainly very rare for where we lived!

Apart from those two the guy also owned a Lotus Sunbeam. Most other residents were driving wrecks.

Both rare. One exotic - a Maserati Merak.
(Fancied one of them years ago but never quite had the funds/bottle).

Take the spoiler of the roof and it could go in the 'Sleeper thread' - that is subtle! - Weren't they rather quick 'back in their day'?
220 bhp in to 1200kg, so rather quick full stop.

Are you forgetting the F1 (especially the LM) exists or?

I'm not forgetting. It's not particularly attractive, IMO.

I'm not one of those people who fawns over it just because that's what you're supposed to do if you like cars,

I wonder if the M100 is deliberate or accidental?

(M100 was the previous Merc 6.3 V8)

A neighbour of mine a street or two over. A 4.5! Dodgy night photo as I was out for a run.

I think the thing on the bonnet is PPF that needs renewing.

Spotted at the local Lidl, pretty sure I've seen the same one at Aldi too:

Also maybe not so much a "Supercar" but pretty rare I'd imagine, just round the corner from me:

Both great spots.

Great to the Z8 being used in the wild.

Maloo is definitely a rare sight in this country smile

A Lamborghini Huracan STO in Gulf colours at football training for my 6 year old son this morning. Fantastic looking car, but why take it along extremely pot holed country back lanes to football training when your child will be caked in mud afterwards?
To willy wave to the other dads?
People can’t win on here, on the STO thread ‘another car to sit in a garage and never be used’ a man actually uses his ‘whys he using it he’s just willy waving’ rolleyes
I'm all for him using it. But he knows what state the road is in and that is has passing places. I would be worried about damaging the wheels or the splitter and would be driving at 10mph along it. I'm even careful in my VW Up.

Yep, totally agree with this. Sometimes you just want to drive it. Maybe he'd been away or busy and hadn't even looked at it for two weeks beforehand. Who knows?
The splitters on mine are also scratched underneath because they get used even for mundane trips when the mood grabs.

Holden SS, no? Confusing with the bonnet scoops though.
