I saw this parked by the shell garage near Brooklands, Surrey with an AA patrol having a look at it, I’m not exactly sure what I was looking at but I hope whatever was wrong wasn’t anything major.

Failed to sell at auction on Saturday - presumably being collected by the owner?

Someone dodged a bullet with that then. There used to be something like that on a 1980s US TV show: McCormack and something...

Hardcastle and McCormick. It was a kit car called a Coyote I think with the body based on moulds of the Mclaren or something like that.

Forgive the terrible pic taken by my passenger but that’s a MKB Mercedes Mclaren SLR being trailered down the M62 in the rain.

Not seen one for quite a while.

You do have to wonder what's happened to them all. I suspect the owners have all parked them nose-first in the garage and put an old blanket over them.

I looked at Wikipedia for production figures ,something over 1400 in total of all variants ,so they're out there somewhere....confused

A small band of the weird Stirling Moss editions turn up to follow the Mille Miglia annually.

Haven't seen one of those in years.

Were they actually any good? I don't know much about them.
