Forgive the terrible pic taken by my passenger but that’s a MKB Mercedes Mclaren SLR being trailered down the M62 in the rain.
Not seen one for quite a while.
You do have to wonder what's happened to them all. I suspect the owners have all parked them nose-first in the garage and put an old blanket over them. Not seen one for quite a while.

i think anyone smart enough to be in a position to buy one a while ago is also smart enough to work out that they are very much going to be seen in future as one of the pinnacles of the internal combustion era and is keeping hold and taking care. Hence me being surprised to see one being open transported. The only thing i'd be concerned about it laying one down (as it were) would be the electronics. You can't really hit them with a hammer with a vague understanding of cars and how they work.
But they are hideously ugly, which is always going to count againt them.waremark said:

I can only see an empty driveway?
Shows that you need to buy a Rolls Royce driveway before you buy a Rolls Royce car!Do you think it is with an engineer or a journo?
That mule will be in the crusher by the time the car is released.
I've really no idea on why the Roller was there. I do the walk daily and, today, the Skoda Fabia which normally parks there was back.
It was in Barry, South Wales. For the price of that car on release you could have 2, maybe even 3 of the houses on the street which it was on.
Weirdly, a vehicle check online shows the usual 6.75 litre V12, but emissions are down as 0g/km?
Very strange and I will keep an eye out in future.
Elesmart.

Could potentially be an engineer who was doing a long trip and they wanted to see how it behaved. Have heard stories of similar things happening at Bentley & AMLIt was in Barry, South Wales.
