Would have been nice to see Clarkson get into it
By what possible measure?
Height

Too big for a GT40 certainly.
C'est my point, would be funny to see.
Oui, je comprends.

He did, but they were a much bigger car than the 1960s original.

A Ford GT used to park expensively in the road on Eastbourne Terrace in Paddington. I wondered who it could be. The owner turned out to be running a grimy one man band Bureau de Change in a microscopic kiosk on Praed Street. You wouldn't have thought he had two happence to rub together.

Parking in the road on a meter instead of in a car park was what I was driving at. I think I'm right in saying that he could have parked in Audley Square car park behind The Dorchester for less than parking all day in the road in Paddington. A bit of exercise too, walking to work.

Used to be a guy outside our office in Marylebone that would do the same and send minions down to feed the meter all day. Ran a porn distribution company.

Don't tell me that! Park in Audley Street car park and get a cab was my preferred route into London.
