I've seen a couple of new Merc GLAs in a weird metallic green colour that look absolutely gopping. I really like green on some cars - for example dark green on Range Rovers or that bright green that you see Focus RSs just looks right, but this one made what is already a bit of a blob even more so - reminded me of Slimer from Ghostbusters. Doubtless someone will say that it's an unusual colour and therefore good, to which I'd say the reason it is unusual is because to anybody of sound mind it looks bloody awful.

Very similar in shade to that lovely metallic green Lamborghini Urraco they restored on Wheeler Dealers biggrin

Too many silver and grey cars on the road... it's all monochrome dullness, and they blend into rain and fog....

My everyday car is a silver BMW and I felt a little bit of my soul die when I bought it... but if you buy cheap second hand cars you are stuck with the ultra safe decisions of your soulless predecessors....

Focus ST Tangerine Scream. The only thing it screams is that it is minging! The Mk 2 ST was orange and made no bones about it even if it was as subtle as a gypsy wedding but the Mk 3 went for some half arsed yellowed, jaundiced mess.

BMW Pistachio green was a grim colour too especially when it came with the matching colour interior. ( shudders)

I have had a few silver cars, and liked them at the time, but have to agree with you, that now there seem to be truly vast numbers of them on the on the UK`s roads.

Most definitely brown. Never looked good on anything other than the Audi coupe.

Orange.
Why would you?

£Just bought a new car in grey - best colour for it as it'll rarely get washed.
Ahem, cough....

It certainly works on older classics and quite a few moderns, a mate has recently bought a Fiesta ST in metallic orange, it looks rather good. I think it depends on the car's shape, size and proportions and whether or not there are any contrasting colours / trim to set it off.

Yep.

Now I'm no lover of BMWs by any stretch, at all, but I noticed recently when I spotted an old 3 series (E30) in red and it looked great as in REALLY good. Later that day I saw a newer one, 64 plate, in red and it looked absolutely sh**e.
