I wonder if these will get much cheaper. Always thought they look much better in the flesh than they do in photos.
Yes they will definitely get cheaper, just like the Cayenne did. They'll hold their value better than a big-engined A8 or 7-series, but I expect the early six cylinder models will drop below £10k, given another 8-10 years.I've had my turbo for about six months. It replaced an E63 AMG Bi-Turbo and is not quite as much of an animal, but is far more compliant and has much better traction off the line in less than perfect conditions. I've been really happy with it and would struggle to replace it for the money (it's a 2010 so worth circa £40k) with anything else I'd rather drive. Massively capable and very comfortable and refined. It's not even bad on fuel. Looks obviously divide opinion, but as others have said, they look better in the metal and mine seems to get a lot of positive attention in black.
I had much the same route as slippery above.
The Panamera is so much more composed than any of the the E63s, M5s etc and given the base car is already a very high quality product (rather than a mini cab spec E220 or 520d) the refinement, interior and comfort are on another level. Natural competitors are primarily the QP and the Rapide rather than the more barge like S Class/7 series/S8 alternatives, none of which offered any engagement in my experience,
On the same note, I wouldn't have any of the previous generation six cyclinder petrol, diesel or hybrid cars, I think they miss the point of having a more driver focussed, large car. Some might also find the turbo a bit too refined compared to the GTS.

Could say the same about Maserati or Evoque?
No no I don't agree with that, not at all.Well, what's the point of them then? I like the Maserati but there's better cars out there, why not buy one of them? Vanity 4x4 that the Evoque is, more expensive than other cars in the range for nothing extra, that I can't get my head around. Like anything, it's horses for courses and personal preference not stupidity or otherwise.
Point was, as others have said, irony in your statement is lost on you.
I never understood the comments about the apparent ugly looks. I really like the styling of these and i'm in no way a massive Porsche aficionado. Maybe that's the problem?
Obviously, it's all subjective regardless, but i've always liked how they look. I will say that the new version's styling is even better and appears to be better-received.

The Panamera outsells other Porsche models in the US and China. The Panamera range is very different the Hybrid is totally different car to drive compared to the GTS. The last GTS to be produced was the facelift model in July 2013 to 2016. It looks like this will be the last naturally aspirated Panamera 4.8 ltr 440BHP 0-60 about 4 seconds corners like a go cart, 4 wheeldrive, put it in Sports Plus or Sport and it accelerates like a jet adjustable air suspension ceramic brakes and in the right spec looks great. If you don't go mad on the accelerator 25 mpg. What's not to like? I have driven 2012 turbo and did not like it very much. Have not driven any of the new 2017 Panamera's but they are all turbo charged.Note . The old 928 Porsche have been cheap but they have doubled in price in the last 18 months.

My testicles in a rusty vice before I even consider purchasing one of these.
New or second hand there are faster, better looking and more practical cars for the money.
Not driven one, but been a passenger. Hugely impressive piece of kit, feels like it was hewn out of granite. Loved it. New or second hand there are faster, better looking and more practical cars for the money.
