These look worse as each day passes. Especially in Essex spec.

That is 100% Gippo spec.

Is that one on stilts it looks rather too high in the back. Imaging lifting shopping into the boot?

Adjustable suspension, possibly set to highest "wading" setting

I see loads of them in my village and I honestly think the people who buy them don’t care what they look like, they just want the newest of whatever LR are making!

What had actually horrified me is the facelift FFRR! I saw one yesterday and at first glance, I thought the rear lights were after market ones fitted by the owner. I was really surprised considering I didn’t even know they had one out. I know the RRS had a facelift out, that’s another story, not sure what they were thinking with the rear bumper!

Great stylists in Tata Motors.

The new Disco just looks ridicilously bent upwards at the back.

They added a sea of black plastic in the bottom of the bumper, but it's just badly shaped.

The new Rangie... Yum, pyjama mamas will love it.

more like 80 % as the car still needs a private plate like k4t3 XD with tinted rear lights and be badly parked.

i have a disco 4 and am looking to swap.
which engine?

Yes great family transport big step up from the disco 4 (aside from the rear)

The hse is range rover like refinement with the space of a discovery and it drives way better than disco 4 as its a fairly ridiculous 500kg lighter
Id get the 3l salesman was trying to get us to buy the 2l saying the performance is not far off.

While that might be true 2l is a lot coarser and has to be worked harder does not suit car we has a 2l loaner while ours was in for its 1y service recently.

Main issues to my eye:

Has the WxH proportions of one of those double decker buses on a kiddies roundabout.
Daft reg plate (Least of its problems)
The enormous and featureless rear 1/4 panel

It looks bad enough in isolation but looks really, really odd in traffic, well seeing the people flogging the plate mount have taken their photo from above!

It also looks really cheap in general, I would never buy a Discovery, but I did at lease understand the previous versions, this one is just too weird.

Awful awful things .,

Saw one like that yesterday on the M6

It was alongside a 90’s Rover 400 .. which back in its day was a family car

Dwarfed me in the Z4

Original Disco was a great piece of design . But not this version

One of the complaints I've heard is that the floor isn't flat when the seats are folded, where as the D4 is.
Makes a big difference to people who use them as load luggers.

The Discovery should have been kept as a practical box on wheels. It didn't need "styling". They have enough other models for that.

It is a box on wheels but like the old disco4 a new one is prob a bit $$$ for van useage. As a box for people the new one is far superior.

When i bought an e90 in 2005 it has odd looks that car now looks anything but odd.

There is a timless quality to symmetry though that has to be said.

Excuse me if this is old news and appears earlier in this thread but surely this £750 add on from Startech is going to sell like hot cakes...

That Can't possibly work can it ? Needs metal removing from the tailgate to make room for it ?

Always looks like the designer pressed 'tab' on the last version of the model and st got shifted sideways.

Think ill stick to looking for a disco 4 - much smarter design than the wonky rear of the new one.

I’ve just looked at a discovery HSE Lux with the 3.0 petrol engine on the configurator.

Without adding any options it’s 74k!

And then they have the cheek to charge £1500 for adaptive cruise control.

Which comes as standard on a golf...

Total rip off.

I think it's a ghastly looking thing but then again I think all LR/RRs look like they've been designed for either farmers or premier league footballers. The latter may think this new LR might go well with their oversized headphones and Louis Vuitton wash bags

It doesn't matter one bit what it looks like - it's just a designer fashion accessory for a certain type of person (orange bimbo airhead, 40's bloke in skinny jeans and white rimmed sunglasses...you know, a tt).

I had a Range Rover in the early eighties, two door classic, bloody loved it smile Never been in a Disco, but one parked next to me about 18 months ago at a hotel in the Peak District... It was a monster, it made the Vantage look like a toy car frown

That said it did look quite smart... I have no idea which model it was though smile
