IT IS UGLY! For that money you can go elegant.
Name something with 800 Bhp....The problem is, you're then left with a C6 RS6, which is (dynamically) an understeery, heavy beast with virtually no character. The C7 RS6 (which I had) is miles better all-round but still boring, even with an MRC tune. I'd take the mustang or any American V8 any day. Far more interesting and you don't really need to mod to 800hp. Lots more options for milder supercharged mods which retain driveability.

Exactly.....my Mustang is currently sitting at 450bhp, with just a few mods, and it's great fun.Just been to Halfords to get some oil for the mowers and quad, came out to find a load of people hovering around the car and taking photos, then the inquisition starts how fast? How much. Etc....
Never had a car that got so much positive vibe from strangers...

Something tells me this will be a damn site more reliable and thus cheaper to run than a tuned RS6
What??...It's a yank heap of cheap crap!! Edited by IJB1959 on Wednesday 19th April 15:51
Mildly tuned very understressed American drivetrain designed for hundreds of thousands of miles that American cars do, VS a high spec, tight tolerance german motor tuned to within an inch of its life and a reputation already for chocolate gearboxes and ferociously priced spare/repair parts, built by a company that's been cutting quality corners all over the place?

Yea... I'd fancy my chances more with even a moderately supercharged 5L mustang V8 over a C6 RS6 or C7 RS6 modified to a similar level. See who might need a new gearbox first and how much that will cost.Edited by IJB1959 on Wednesday 19th April 15:51

The C6 gearbox can take 800hp and 800lbs/ft without issue as proven by 7+ years of MRC 750+hp cars not blowing up gearboxes left/right and centre with the proviso that the GB is regularly serviced (oil/filter every 20k). Or you can spend £3k on a GB rebuild and it would take 1100hp and 1000lbs/ft, which is what I've done to my GB.
Mustang looks better though

Had a 5.0 V8 GT, and stand by what I said. Never again.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
