They're everywhere. Even in Quinny's picture further up page 2, one of them managed to squeeze in the background. Like those camera-starers when film crews are out filming.
To be fair they did look pretty ste parked next to the Stanghehe

Well, I would keep the bonnet and side intakes if they are functional. The rest of the body add on's are bloody awful. I can see that front spoiler getting smashed to bit's on a regular basis!
So, I would tone the styling down and have that car in a heart beat..or less.

I don't think you know what qualification means.

If I were buying a modified Mustang it would have to be a Shelby GT:

Showing my age here; who else remembers RGA Styling? Richard Grant Automotive I think it was, available through all good motor factors. Well it's back, and all over this.

Really? So what happened, maybe some substance and justification of your stance? As lets face it, millions of Mustangs have been built, bought and sold for decades. With a huge huge following world wide.

Pretty odd if they are as you claim.

It's only a car, and my opinion of owning one in the past for god's sake. Anyone would think I was insulting your mother!
A little more detail would perhaps support your opinion. What generation for example?

S550 as per the article, S197.... Fox Body? smile

The S550 is leagues ahead of anything that went before it.

Better. It's better without it.

Dynamically yes, but whether this makes is a better Mustang is probably up for debate.

Exactly.....my Mustang is currently sitting at 450bhp, with just a few mods, and it's great fun.

Just been to Halfords to get some oil for the mowers and quad, came out to find a load of people hovering around the car and taking photos, then the inquisition starts hehe how fast? How much. Etc....
Never had a car that got so much positive vibe from strangers...

That looks superb. The Sutton looks even better! I love that dramatic bodykit they've fitted, it makes an attractive but relatively plain looking Mustang into something wild and exotic!

I'd also take the Shelby, even better would be the Super Snake.

But, I wouldn't turn this down if it was forced on me. cool

2011 5.0 V8 GT 412bhp (Ti-VCT) bought from new, and managed to do a total of 1200 miles. Spent more time at the dealers than on my drive. Dogged with electrical issues (too many to list) numerous rattles from the plasticky interior, terrible 'squeak' from the rear over 50mph that was never resolved, nor was the annoying 'ticking' noise from the engine, had gearbox shifting issues as it would jam up now and again for no reason at all. Fuel gauge failed and had to be replaced, and had the stitching come completely apart on the drivers bolster section before doing even a 1000 miles. I was told that the seat was not manufactured/stiched correctly. Went to County Court to get a full refund from dealer in the end who was not particularly interested and just kept blaming Ford. Won the case as the car was deemed 'not fit for purpose' by the District Judge. The only plus point out of this horrible scenario was I was also awarded costs and additional compensation of £4500.00. SO, as you can imagine the thought of owning a Mustang now gives me the shivers, and hence my OP in comparison to an Audi.

Yeah because Mustangs are just so bland and common looking, completely blending in with all the hoards of hatchbacks and silver Audi's on UK roads... rolleyes

You must have got the world's worst mustang.

My 2013, 67,000 miles, only 2 things have messed up on it that was not my fault.

Zero electrical issues. A few rattles being the rings on the gauge cluster trim (fixed with rtv).

Some coyotes do tick during idle, it's just a "thing."

The gear shift binding and not going in gear. Yes that is a genuine problem. However it can be rectified in a variety of aftermarket parts.

My recaros are still good, driver's seat has a small amount of material sat where you put your bum that's it.

I'd rather drive a Camaro than a virtue signaling Audi driver, struggling to come to grasp gender equality.

Are you daft?

Mildly tuned very understressed American drivetrain designed for hundreds of thousands of miles that American cars do, VS a high spec, tight tolerance german motor tuned to within an inch of its life and a reputation already for chocolate gearboxes and ferociously priced spare/repair parts, built by a company that's been cutting quality corners all over the place?
Mildly tuned you say? 365HP power increase with simple bolt-ons. I wonder how long it would last as "the major weak point in the S550 as it stands are the powdered connecting rods, followed by the hypereutectic pistons." Afterall, it's not built for boost.

For comparison, my GM LSA makes the same power but with a number of internal modifications inc ARP bolts, forged rods/pistons etc.

Yes maybe so....was very, very, disappointing as I always wanted a Mustang as a child, and when I could finally afford one I got the piece of 's**t' mentioned. Hate to admit it, but Audi has been the most reliable car owned so far whatever your opinion on them is, maybe that's why they are so common like other German breeds on the roads?
BTW, I still think they are a great looking car regardless.

They said the Mustang is plain looking.

Maybe in the US where you get lots of them, plus lots of Camaro's and Challengers and other interesting looking cars. But plain on UK roads... really??? Now come on.

So lets get this straight, it is your belief that due to your sample of a single unit, that all Mustangs have major issues at only 1000 miles from new???

Despite the fact that in the US alone Ford sold 228,000 Mustangs from 2015 thru 2016.

Was your 2011 example converted to RHD?
