I can genuinely offer an off road site and some comparison vehicles if you'd like to make this an article. Location is in Bedfordshire not far from the M1.
There is mixed terrain on offer as well as some green lane type terrain.
I could also be flexible on dates/times to suit. Let me know if you are interested.
I'm sure the team at DaciaWorld could muster together a whole bunch of Duster owners that would happily give your course a bloody good try. There is mixed terrain on offer as well as some green lane type terrain.

An Alfa company car? Where were you working, Sadist inc?
Used to know a lad who ran a burgundy 156 1.9 diesel as a taxi. Got well into the 200ks before anything major broke. It was at 270ish when the gearbox went and he finally replaced it, with an old diesel Merc no less. rockin said:
Pic taken just before the vehicle flooded and destroyed its engine? There doesn't appear to be a snorkel fitted, and looking at the vehicle behind it seems things "suddenly got a lot deeper"!
Air intake is still more than high enough without a snorkel. It's about knowing your vehicle. That one does have extended axle and gearbox breathers. But the green vehicle behind is 100% standard. There were 4 in the group and we did maybe 20+ deep water crossings like this. No probs. I did have a front diff failure months later that had a failed pinion seal. The water may or may not have contributed. coppice said:
I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than be seen in a half submerged Land Rover with a St George's flag on the roof. Streams are for trout fishing , not buggering up with Bear Grylls wannabes..
Yeah but then you might be a bit of a knob or not. But I'm not really judging you as you seem to be others. coppice said:

If you think that , what do you think of these herberts that drive round and round a tarmac circuit ?? why not just go on the school run or go to the shops ?? we would let you wear your driving glovespowerstroke said:

Having spent over a thousand days at race circuits in UK , US and Europe I am a quite keen on people driving around them .Even done it myself quite a bit. And if people want to hoon around in 4x4s in quarries that's fine too. What isn't fine is the small faction of One Life Live It merchants who think the entire countryside is theirs to despoil. Sore point with me as I lived near an area that was used unlawfully by a bunch of idiots who caused huge damage to some lovely moorland . St George's Flag ? Developed an allergy to it after it was hijacked by knuckledraggers. School run ? Nah- not my thing. Gloves ? ditto !

That is fine - so you are anti people being idiots - aren't we all?! School run ? Nah- not my thing. Gloves ? ditto !
that has nothing to do with 4x4s being used properly
Tbh there's some similarities, but while the Niva is actually good off road, the duster is actually good on the road.
Both are heavily compromised because of the tight budget though.
The difference in ground clearance and wading depth, not to mention approach angles on it's own speak volumes.
The Duster is to a Niva what a Renault Megane is to a Duster.
