RE: Noble M600: Spotted

Noble should be considered as one of England's premier super car brands... above TVR and along side Lotus/Aston Martin...this should be the aim imo...they ain't gonna achieve that with this quality of design...
Why should they? They are trying to market a glorified kit car at the ridiculous end of the pricing spectrum, far in excess of the more established rivals, and very few people want one.PurpleAki said:
The more you mention the words "kit car" the more ignorant you look.
Obviously...http://www.kitcarlist.com/noble.htmlIn all seriousness, I have no particular issue with Noble or the M600...it's just, well, the stratospheric price point chosen, what are they £250k upwards....that is just silly.

Why is Noble asking that sort of money for the M600 somehow more ridiculous than Pagani asking three times as much money for the Huayra?
I wouldn't dream of trying to justify the prices of the Pagani, but if that is the yardstick you wish to use, £250k for a Noble almost makes the Pagani at 3x the price seem like a bargain. The Pagani, although not to my taste, looks exquisitely designed and made, where as the Noble looks like it has been knocked up in a shed...which of course it not far from the truth.

You're citing a website while is clearly completely factually wrong as a source for your opinions, I feel this isn't helping your case.
And what case is it you think I need help with?If people see the Noble as good value and want to buy one then good luck to them. It would appear that almost no one does.
I'd take it if I had the money.
Sure, you could grab a porker for that price, but for some stupid reason I've always had this underlying urge to own an M600 and travel the world in it. Strange I know. But what better way than to drive the fk out of what's widely considered the Modern F40?

If you will not accept anything less than 600hp and a manual gearbox though, options are limited.
Viper ACR and a lot of change. Most fun car I've ever driven.M600 is a fascinating car, but 8.4L 10cyl american MUSCLE in a much more iconic Viper - that's something to dream about!
The fact that Noble has no driver aids, well, every driver will be scared to drive it around, unless, of course, they are nutjobs ready to endanger other people's lives for a thrill.

Noble has 650hp.Does TurboS have 650hp? No.
Now, away from empty, wide, dry straight line drag race which car will you (or pretty much anyone) will be faster in? Not Noble, that's for sure.
BTW, have you seen what 911 Turbos with 1000hp for about 30-40k extra money can do?

As a fashion trinket, the Noble makes no sense; as a driver's car, from what I've read, there is little to touch it at any price. Whether it's good value obviously depends on the priorities of the person making the judgement. It may be a commercially ludicrous product, but that doesn't stop it being the most desirable supercar of the last 10 years for me.
I suppose it's the closest thing you can buy to a modern Ferrari F40. Whether that's a good thing or a bad one rather depends on what you think of the ethos of the F40.

I'd agree that very few people who can afford one view it as good value; probably because most people who can afford to spend 6 figures on a car aren't particularly driving enthusiasts. That's a lot of assumptions on your part, but hey who knows you might be right.Edited by kambites on Tuesday 2nd May 19:33
