I have a car which has an alarm already fitted, but I don't know what it is or what the functions are/how to operate it. The fob/remote looks like this:

2 buttons, green LED. It's clearly a GT brand unit, and from what I can see, the fob model is either a "G127" or an "82 TXC". I replaced the battery (an A23/MN21 12 volt one), and it seems to function. Push a button and the LED illuminates, and the car clearly reacts to it with the indicators flashing and the dash LED stopping. I haven't poked about with it too much, as currently the car doesn't protest over being unlocked with the key and started up, and I'd rather not find myself with a wailing alarm or immobilised car if I get it wrong.

So, does anyone know if there's a "generic" way this brand works in terms of what button does what? Or a manual available online that might help? I found a few related installation guides, but nothing that seems particularly useful.

Any way I can determine exactly what model it is other than digging ito the dashboard and finding where they've squirrelled it away?

I found this page with similar models but it is in Russian. If you open it using Chrome, it autotranslates

Aha, I think I spotted that site earlier, but didn't look at it because I assumed it wouldn't be much help to me as it was Russian. Hopefully something there that'll help, thanks.

Update: Found the alarm unit by tracing some "aftermarket-looking" wiring from the footwell (it was under the carpet beneath the drivers' seat).

It's a GT109 model.

To close this out (mainly for anyone doing a search in the future, always frustrating if there's an old thread that could help you but with no rear answer):

I sent a message to GT Alarm in Italy, and they replied with a copy of the English-language fitting instructions and wiring diagram for this model. That should allow me to work out what I'm doing with it as necessary.

I see a lot of people said

The "A" is for lock/unlock

The arrow is for panic.

I have the same set in my Suzuki
and the arrow is lock/Unlock
and the A is a kind of double lock.
I have also read the manual and in
the manual also wrote the same as
what i said it is. This remote is only
for the central locking system nothing
else. So I'm curious what the panic button
should have as a function according to those
who said it is a panic button
