Have you forgotten what forum this is? Not reading every reply leaves you open to all the poachers.

So I've asked for a quote from my local Audi garage but am expecting a ridiculous price no doubt.

Does anyone know of any good body shops in Herts I could also try?
Finishline in Gravely do good work, but they are not cheap. Bodywork is rarely cheap and good though.

They also can have up to a 2 month waiting list which says that plenty of people are willing to pay what they charge. I took my S2000 there for some work and was very happy with the paint work. I took my focus there after that got keyed down 2 doors and the price they quoted was too much in relation to the value of the car.

Essentially if you care about the car then I'd recommend going there, I would bet a lot of money they will beat Audi's quote by some margin too.

Four months on from the first incident and I've become a victim again. And so have many of my neighbours. FUMING.

Wow that is shocking! Looks like they really went to town this time. Time for cctv to catch the wker in the act now? Could be someone who's local to the area.

I feel for you and your neighbours, just mindless vandalism! tts!

A mate of mine recommended getting CCTV from Ring.com so I'll take a look into that. Trouble is I can't park outside my house as we park on the road and don't have a driveway. But perhaps it'd catch the culprits if they pounce again.

It wouldn't happen to be the neighbour in who's house you do park in front of would it? Disgruntled neighbours can be the worst

Absolute s.

Hindsight is wonderful but perhaps now is the time to get some CCTV at home pointing to the road.

Maybe even visit some local shops nearby and see if they have anything recorded that you could look at?

fk me someone spent a good couple of minutes doing that, that's not random fkmunches walking home from the pub. Any of your neighbours particularly cranky, or did you dare to park on their bit of the road for once?

Those pics are from multiple cars all along the road so unless one person is cranky that everyone is parking on the street vaguely near his/her house, then that's not likely to be the motivation. Looks like it is just a fking prick causing thousands of pounds worth of damage to other people's property.

I have only had a car keyed once, and when you are really attached to your car it really is gutting. In my case it was personal, not random, I knew who it was the minute I saw it.

My car lives in the garage overnight these days so I don't have these worries anymore, next best thing would be cctv as others have suggested.

Good way to raise blood pressure - that's disgusting.... what utter s.

I wonder if there's an in-car motion camera you could use? I recall footage of someone keying an Aston Martin a while back - taken from such a device.

Absolute aholes

I live on a terrace road and my old car had it done down one side. Think my misses car has also had it done, although that's so bashed up who knows when it happened.

My new car now lives in the garage, I won't even leave it on the road for more than half an hour now. Misses wants a new car but there's just no point.

There's some nice cars on the road though, someone even brings home brand new Porsche and leaves them on the road over night! Only takes one dick head to ruin it for everyone.

Are you going to fix yours?

Yep I'm going to have to fix it as it's a lease and goes back in March. I might have to leave it until Feb and hope no-one else damages it between then and when it goes back. I can't see the point of getting it fixed now if it'll just be damaged again. I have a feeling it's going to cost me about as much as a family holiday. fking tts have really pissed me off as I don't have money to throw away!

This doesn't look like the same road as last time? Very unlucky, and beyond upsetting.

I guess this is starting to look like an insurance job due to the amount of panels :-(

Can you get your car off the road? convert garden into a drive and get the kerb dropped?

Friend of mine had his 6 year old Mazda 3 done.

Stayed overnight at a (tinder) friends place.

Cctv picked up an old woman damaging it then going back into her house. Apparently she's done it before. Police didn't care.

Ah I missed that. What a complete fking wker to do that, and of course until they are caught there is every possibility of it happening again in a week/month/year.
