I know it shouldn't but this st bothers me:"All in there’s a 40kg saving over standard, so the Performante weighs in at 1,382kg dry, 50kg less than the new 911 GT3 PDK."
Yeah, but a car with no fking oil or fuel ain't going anywhere. Such an irrelevant fact to quote and a moronic comparison, as all Porsche quoted masses are DIN.
By definition, dry weight does not include any of the following:
Fuel
Engine oil
Coolant
Brake fluid
Power steering fluid
Transmission fluid
Washer fluid
So it's likely still over 1500kg. Lazy journalism by topgear!
Hell, my dry weight is only 27kg!

UFB ! Time to go on a diet buddy "All in there’s a 40kg saving over standard, so the Performante weighs in at 1,382kg dry, 50kg less than the new 911 GT3 PDK."

FFS.
Do people really believe this st?
I've driven my Lamborghini's? three times in London. On the day I collected them from Lamborghini London.
It's a very small percentage of owners (of any marque) who do the London scene.
Such a tired old cliche.
Depends on the time of year, the Gulf invasion takes place in our summer. In fairness they own all sorts of kit, from pimped white G Wagons to gold Lambos. It certainly isn't a cliché. I have noticed though that Lamborghini owners have the thinnest skin when it comes to the suggestion their cars attract a certain sort of owner.....Do people really believe this st?

All supercars attract a certain sort of owner. Look at Rambo Lambo for instance, all he bangs on about is the carbon tub and the technology used in his preferred car. Yet that same make of car is often seen/videoed pootling around Knightsbridge. But ,then again I imagine that one needs an air brake and all that tech so you can stop in time to grab a space outside of Harrods so that Shmee and the likes can film it. In fact all supercar makes and even Porsches are seen around that area of London. So what does that say about your choice of current car, that 997 Turbo you have? Did you buy it so you can be seen and filmed around Knightsbridge? The only thing that really does "grinds my gears" is this lifestyle lambo thing. Who the fk coined that phrase and why haven't they been lynched yet?

Hardly.
What visitors from the Gulf do is hardly representative of what native owners do.
Two of us have posted the fact that we don't take our cars there, whereas what you have posted is opinion. And opinion mainly based on the actions of foreigners, at that.
Just give up, your facts mean nothing to someone on Pistonheads, where stereotypes matter. What visitors from the Gulf do is hardly representative of what native owners do.

If not you Lambo owners croozing LNDN, it's having a wife who earns significantly less and how you are going to pull the trigger on a S4 for daily duties.

Well I'd rather own my Lamborghini's than any of your cars.
Whilst I don't disagree with your point, that last bit did sound a little cringey.Well I'd rather own my Lamborghini's than any of your cars.
I just felt a little bit put out being told the habits of Lamborghini owners, by a non owner.
I love 911s (especially old ones). Most of my friends that own 911s are Porsche obsessives. However the vast majority of 911s are bought by bankers, accountants, lawyers, doctors and the like who never go on track days and never take their cars to Wales or Scotland on driving holidays. I don't confuse the enthusiasts I know who own 911s with the majority.
