FFS.

Where did I say I blamed it all on them?

I stated quite it's a tiny percentage of owners (of any marque) who do the London scene.

I have only ever spoken for myself and fellow owners I know, none of whom do it and never would.

Same as neveryoumind, also an owner.

I'm offering a factual insight from first hand experience to the sweeping statements of others who don't have first hand experience.

It wasn't me who brought visitors from the Gulf into the conversation either.

All supercars attract a certain sort of owner. Look at Rambo Lambo for instance, all he bangs on about is the carbon tub and the technology used in his preferred car. Yet that same make of car is often seen/videoed pootling around Knightsbridge. But ,then again I imagine that one needs an air brake and all that tech so you can stop in time to grab a space outside of Harrods so that Shmee and the likes can film it. In fact all supercar makes and even Porsches are seen around that area of London. So what does that say about your choice of current car, that 997 Turbo you have? Did you buy it so you can be seen and filmed around Knightsbridge?

The only thing that really does "grinds my gears" is this lifestyle lambo thing. Who the fk coined that phrase and why haven't they been lynched yet?

Just uploaded my historic garage, and missed the "previously owned" tab on a couple. I owned the 997 Turbo a while back, and I didn't really warm to it if I'm honest. Generally like my Porsches normally aspirated hence why I've gone back to the 997 4S having been a gnats whisker away from buying a 991 C2S (deposit down close).

I have come back to PH after some years away, but some things don't change, and that is the way Lambo owners seem to get a bit defensive about their choice. It is fair to say I do like to pull your collective tails a bit. I have been very tempted a couple of times to get one, but am yet to. I think they are great cars generally, though can't get excited by Diablos for some reason- ugly things. But the car world would be a poorer place without them. The prospect of the Urus makes me feel a bit sad, despite the fact I owned a Cayenne Turbo a while back, so recognise the irony.

One of the charms of Lamborghini was that they historically didn't necessarily make the best driving cars, nor did they feel the need to conform. VW ownership has seen a real change to that idea. Many of you will make the point that business is business, but at the same time the magic looks like it is fading to my eyes. Another Ring Record from a superbly engineered supercar somehow leaves me a bit cold.

Never owned a Countach or Diablo or any older Lamborghinis so I can't really comment but from what I understand you are correct, they where never the best drivers cars. However, having previously owned a Lotus Elise; which is considered to be a proper drivers cars my RWD Gallardo reminds me very much of it. You should try one.

I would have ordered a performante but I it would be a bit of stretch financially so I didn't. Head ruling the heart which was probably a wise choice. However I do wish they had made this car RWD. Yes it might not have broken a ring record but I think if they did that it would have put it right up there in legendary car bracket. Either way, it looks fantastic, has the fire power and handling to compete and maybe surpass the 488 and the 720s. Well done Lamborghini.
