Firstly, find out how the dealer knows your V5C number (they may not have sent it to the DVLA or retained the new keeper supplement by mistake). Then get on the phone to the DVLA about the lack of logbook. As you haven't got the NK supplement you'll have to pay £25 for a new one.
Was it a new or used car you bought from the dealership?

You can up load photos click on the "Upload an image" link above on a new post. You may very well have paid for it, that they have taxed it though. Mistakes happen - It is not the end of the world, so please do not worry!

If you check the online system you will see that it's been untaxed from 1/3/2017 so it was taxed for the 6 months previously. Just tax it now and the back tax and move on....As said previously, the dealer must have advised the change of ownership to DVLA otherwise Dvla wouldn't have your name and address to send you the letter you have.
