I have just recently sold one, it is a big unit to park, but on the road it rides really well. I loved the car but nothing prepares you for the depreciation. I have owned a few cars and nothing lost money like this, they discount so heavily it knocks on. To be honest I kept looking at mine and thinking, "how much will this drop next month" I know cars depreciate, but I bought this a year old and thought I had bought well at £112,000 with 1200 miles on the clock. A year later with 9,800 the best offer was £92K. Great car but buy with caution.

My maths can be shonky but I think what you are saying there is that Year 2 depreciation, with 8,600 miles, was around 18%. Am I right in thinking that's actually pretty standard these days for the majority of cars, regardless of sector? I know it's stomach churning when that 18% equates to £20K but it's all relative surely.

When you put it like that it makes more sense, plus you have made me feel a lot better! Thank you.

By the way, just for balance, I lost less on a Ferrari California, odd how these things play out.

Used to find the Conti an mind-numbingly dull thing.. however in what seemed like an overnight change a couple of years ago, I fell in love and still love them. Odd.
