Can you not push a software update to the older cars to transform them?

It's turbocharged and not available with a manual box. Really not any comparison to the E46 CS

First M4 then M4 GTS (super limited and special) then the M4 CS (super and special) and in the future probably the M4 C (like the normal M4 but in the special limited colors from the CS) and then on top the final more special more limited extra M4 CSL. When will this limited bullst end? They turn the turbos a bit up to generate more power and that's it.
Don't forget the M4 DTM

Seems a bit silly to chuck out door speakers. Is anyone really going to notice that ~1kg weight saving in a car that still weighs well over 1500kg?!

2017 pre-regd. M4s with Competition Pack for sale @ Sytner's from £55,000 .....
Whilst undeniably a great saving on list price, to me £55k still seems bonkers for fast 3 series let alone £89k!! Am I alone on this?

I know the new vs. old comparisons come up on most threads, but new/warranty etc. or not I would struggle to walk past some really very special older metal to spunk my money on this.

A competition pack with the CS software flash would be my sweet spot. This week at least.

But seriously, does this really mean that the 'vertical suspension chop' the M4 and to a lesser extent M2 are said to suffer from are a coding fault?

....oh, forget it. Can't be arsed to argue with those people slating the standard car. Other than to say you are missing the key words "IMO".

Also, I enquired. No discount available from a main dealer.

The PH comments sections is 100% predicable - it’s the exact same for every single article on the site.

99% [not all – just the 99% - 1% are reasonable/sensible] of posts are idiotic stating the bleeding obvious dumb as fook comments and 99% [again not all – just the 99% - 1% are reasonable/sensible] of people posting are complete and utter know-it-all knobs who are actually just full of s h I t, talking s h i t and just stating their own dumb blinkered opinion that the people who purchase these cars or are considering purchasing couldn’t give a flying fook about.

To save everyone time here is a comment that can be used for every single pistonhead article:

”That car is too slow, too fast, too heavy, too expensive, too ugly, looks same as a diesel, wheels too big, wheels too small, no steering feel, that manufacturer hasn’t made a good car since 1983, doesn’t sound good, fake sound, turbo, I will never buy from this manufacturer again, you can buy a better used car for less, will depreciate massively and so on”

When I say every single article I mean every article – the same crap said in every BMW, Porsche etc etc article or review … Blah blah blah

Do people really think changes to such a car amounts to a software update and fancy wheels? Methinks that being a bit discourteous.

The changes from the standard M3 to Comp to this are as result of engineering improvements. Tweaks to steering rack and suspension geo, bush stiffness, etc. not some bloke out of Max Power directory plugging in a module.

Still flipping expensive, though.

Hey BMW are you listening? Do the right thing now, and offer the software upgrades to your loyal and previous customers. Please!

I'd even pay £500 for them...😜

Shock horror – brand new BMW M4 CS is expensive

In case everyone here just woke up from a 20 year coma new cars in 2017 are all extremely expensive - especially ‘Premium’ or Performance cars

My advice… to go to this website www.Google.com and search for the price of cars, or ring any car dealer if you don’t have access to the internet

I had a quick look in autotrader and you can spend over 40k on a Golf R or nearly 160k on a Diesel Range Rover

This thing will st cash, though give it a few weeks and we will have 20K off £699 a month deals like most BMW's these days. I spent 3K less and got a 550bhp V10 supercar with 3K miles on the clock and the pace, presence and specialness that you'll never get with a baby M. I know this is a 4 seat car, but I also know that many people don't use 4 seats who buy M3/M4's as I didn't when I bought mine in the olden days of the E46 so have to question it when I see 90k for such a car.

FOOK ME BMW, are you now in direct competition with Porsche to try and identify which gullible bastuards on this planet you can convince to lighten their wallet by the most amount of money for adding the least amount of "improvement" to base car?

Some will call this good value, for the engineering expertise that goes into this CS edition.

Me, an ECU tune, some carbon fibre bits which saves the weight of a good porcelin bashing session by the driver, and some wheels and mild suspension tuning, and for this bmw want to charge £30k odd, to what is ultimately based on one of the most common sights on british roads a 3/4 series!!! Staggering, but people buying this ste, along with the GTS versions!!!!
