Sorry if it's already been posted, but does anyone know what they are targeting in terms of production numbers?

Thinking total number of LE cars and then target annual regular?

Not sure but the cars will be homologated with respect to SSTA (Small Series Type Approval) which allows a max of 1000 cars per year per type for all of the EU. So that limits the thing to 1000 cars/year for all of Europe for the coupe. A convertible as a separate type would add another 1000 per year. Don't know if overseas sales have any impact on EU numbers.

Brexit and the possible impact on the regulation will be the great uncertainty. With Brexit itself being totally unpredictable it's hard to imagine that they want to go UK-only (that would kill it for me) so they pretty much will have to stick to SSTA and the according rules and regulations.

While i have some sympathy for the ideas behind Brexit it was not a smart move on purely economic terms and i am sure they are not happy with it, especially given the low visibility as far as timeplan and outcome is concerned.

Thanks pal. So we can take it as read that 1,000 cars per year is the hard limit (for single model), but I wonder what their actual target is...the full 1,000 or half that? Just curious really. Eg. how many LE cars were sold (as they will make up initial production - if they are going to take 18months building all the pre-orders, us regular folk should have a decent bit of owner experience and anecdote available in order to see if the TVR is a viable option or not)?

Don't worry about Brexit - import/export will likely be a carbon copy of the current situation - at least until such time as they can spend years and squillions on meetings to decide if anything should change once we are 'free'...so to speak.

Great, really pleased that the brand can make a comeback and for all it stands - unassisted driving pleasure. I do hope though tht they'll adopt a similar pricing strategy as MCLaren, because really what we want is a sub €50 real sports car. I don't give a F€€k if its carbon this or that a fat V8. I want it to be gorgeous to look at, NA sound, light and playful (a bit like the Sagaris really)...

Personally, I don't really care about Bluetooth, iDrive, millions of airbags (it will have to have some), seats from another manufacturer (so long as they're top quality and a) comfy on long runs and euro trips and b) hold me in on a track day...

But, it must not leak - that really annoys me - and it must have proper aircon that keeps me cool when its hot outside.

At £90k - fully loaded with whatever spec - and that will include a carbon iStream chassis by the way - it's a lot of money, but not really far off from what TVR always were is it ?

Ignoring where the engine sits and how many cylinders it has it reminds me of the Alfa 4C. Came out of left field, up against some fierce, 'default' competition, kookie expensive chassis (for the price), off-the-shelf power unit and an off-the-shelf stereo(!). If a company so far up the creek as Fiat came pump out the 4C for whatever that costs then TVR should be able to make something pretty special!

Further to our recent announcement regarding the Public Launch of our new car at the Goodwood Revival, I thought I’d drop a quick line to update you on some of the details.

Firstly, for those of you who are not able to attend, please don’t worry as we intend to show the car at other events following Goodwood!

Secondly, and as mentioned previously, we will be suspending the taking of orders for the Launch Edition car on the 30th June. We will re-open the order book for the few remaining cars on the 8th September at Goodwood.

In acknowledgement of the fantastic support we have received from Lord March and the Goodwood team, we are reserving a small number of the LE cars specifically for GRRC members. These will be available on a first come, first served basis and only on the 8th, 9th & 10th at the Earls Court motor show.

For those of you who have already placed your order, I hope you can make it along to see us – the car will be a fully finished, running, production-intent vehicle although, due to vehicle age restrictions at the event, we will not be able to run it on the circuit, aside from which it will be the very first fully trimmed car, and I might bend it!

Look forward to seeing you at Goodwood!

Les
