Just checked your profile lucido, have you blogged those trips? Would love to know more.
I've done some of them but problems I have with my tech is one of the reasons the threads just fizzle out.
Photobucket going tits up has ruined many a photo thread too.

I also just go to lots of car museums and car based events and just post pics of cars.

Amazing smile
Not posted but really enjoyed reading your thread. Last year I saw most of the Alpine passes and definitely caught the bug. Unfortunately work & lack of holidays just makes it too difficult.
Musician here too but shame there's no room to take the guitar. Need somebody to invent a fold up one biggrin

No nothing to do with Nissan,it's just a slightly odd styled Bi turbo coupe.

These threads are great Brad, always enjoy reading the updates, as many others on here do too I'm sure

Off on a short roadtrip to Germany myself on Tuesday with a few others, although not sure it will be anything like as eventful as these. Very much looking forward to it all the same

That's a good question Scott. The McLaren 720S was my first thought but I won't order a car blind and London McLaren still don't have a demonstrator yet.
I went up to Ferrari at the weekend and drove a 488, very special car and cheap (relatively speaking of course) but I'd want the Spider and that's a 2 year waiting list. I don't really fancy paying a 50 grand premium to pick up a used one either.

Then I thought sod it, get into a couple of year old Aventador for a bit while waiting for whatever comes next to be built (my budget is 300k ish and I don't really want it to start the inevitable creep!) but Aventador shopping seems to be a bit of a minefield and definitely not something to be rushed.

Then there's always a nice Speciale.

I fancy a change but probably the most prudent and sensible thing to do would be to order something new and just stick with the 650S. It was recently serviced, had new tyres was retrofitted with the soft door closers and still has a years warranty so it would cost me very little to run for the next 12 months.

Trouble is, nothing about buying a Supercar involves prudence or sense so the nagging "want" gets ever louder!

Whatever path I take I'm extremely fortunate to have the choice.

Aventador for me please hehe

Sheer sense of presence would do it for me.

Decisions, decisions...

Are you never tempted by something older/classic?

Good trip br d. Always enjoy these reports, but probably don't do my bit by posting to show gratitude. Apologies. Must do better.

If you're on Seloc, you can lurk on my trip diary in August... Different end of the budget scale mostly - apart from a trackday at an ex-GP circuit.

Same here, always really enjoy reading the threads - Going to interesting places in an interesting car is always going to be an interesting read!

Was great to read you enjoyed the alps so much. Annecy and the surrounding area is a region I'm very fond of. There's a cracking supercar showroom in central Annecy, I think it's one of those super car sharing clubs rather than a sales outfit though - I've looked longingly in the window many times at their Maserati MC12, Carrera GT and Alfa 8C... If you head back to the area it's worth checking out

Thanks from me too, I've enjoyed all your threads over the years and am planning my own trip next year because of these threads. I won't be on my own as my wife will be coming along for the ride and it will be a bit of a 20th wedding anniversary honeymoon for us smile

Yes, more thanks from me br d. thumbup

I have absolutely no musical talent (and no supercar) but reading this makes me want to book a Channel crossing, throw a bag in the car and head off for a week or two!

Really inspirational stuff!
