WTF has he tried to do there? There's trying to get the back end out and then there's that!! eek
He probably doesn't know himself. You see people in videos matting the throttle in front of some kids with cameras and you get mad respect, right?

There may already be a thread on this clip but I couldn't spot it so thought I'd drop it in here. It reminded me a little of the incident that sparked this thread; young lad, BMW M2, car show and no talent. Fortunately just the lad's wallet and pride taking a dent on this occasion.

At a guess, trying to powerslide and not knowing how. The front wheels were turned into a slide (the opposite way to the corner he was taking).

Yet another case of a yob with no talent and unaware of it.

Meh, no commitment... proper reaction after mounting the kerb like that would have been to spin turn it, leaving a pair of black lines and load of smoke.

wink

When did enthusiasm for cars get so chavvy?

How long have driving gloves and leather caps been out of fashion?

'mental crash'

Not sure that's what I'd call it.

I saw that incident happen as I was at the event. The driver wasn't parked inside so maybe a local person who turned like (like the white RS6 who kept going round and round and round and round...)

Seems like the driver wasn't committed enough to keeping his foot down as if he had, would have been a different story IMO. Or atleast pulled the handbrake, a costly lesson to learn for him.
The NSX did something similar but the driver got it under control and made a glorious sound as it went up towards the by-pass.

The curb also has a slope on it, which seemed to have saved his suspension on appearance atleast.

Maybe they should all fk off and do it on a track rather than on an open public road, eh?

That's the problem with RWD M cars.

I agree, time and a place for spirited driving but that wasn't it. I'm not sure if the Youtube clip shows where it was taken, but this happened while leaving a dealership.
I also remember you from the gtr.co.uk days, there was 2 R34 GTR's at this event smile

It’s also a moron on public roads with no skill and no brains. Should be prosecuted

Looked like the nearside rear tyre burst when it hit the kerb, but then he managed to meekly drive away, so maybe he was lucky? Amazing that there was no significant damage clouting the kerb side on with both nearside wheels.
Id be amazed if there wasn't any chassis components damaged/bent

yes

What a fking trumpet. The car's only 2 months old as well...

I get giving it a bit of the loud pedal when leaving a car show, but (trying to) stick the back end out is pretty moronic at the best of times, even more so if you haven't a clue what you're doing.

Paul, how would the A45 behave in this situation. I assume it would just understeer and not snap. The above driver clearly turned off all safety aids and is clueless about lift off understeer smile indusing massive oversteer

It's a low kerb which is angled away from the road.

Think he may well have gotten lucky.
