Paul, how would the A45 behave in this situation. I assume it would just understeer and not snap. The above driver clearly turned off all safety aids and is clueless about lift off understeer smile indusing massive oversteer

I think it would have as you said understeered but that would be with all driver aids off and you really having to go out of your way to get it out of shape.

Maybe would have lost grip on the inside wheel. Not sure.

how do such bellends with no driving skills mange to afford cars like this, with too much power??

watched another longer video of the same meet (at a Porsche garage) and there were tons of people watching at edge of the road. The Porsche drivers were behaving very well and I think someone has already said that this muppet was not at the meet.

Could have also have gone much worse if he had crashed into the spectators..

I dont think there is a relationship between affordability and driving skills....

Agreed and they're not that expensive TBH, I saw quite a few lease deals around the £600 mark.

It's a low kerb which is angled away from the road.

Think he may well have gotten lucky.
I would say theres all sorts of damage done there. My wife clipped a kerb at about 40MPH in here 3 series coupe some years ago and even though it all looked fine (bar damage to the wheel) there was in total £2,800 of damage - bent strut, lower arm, wheel cracked, slight chassis twist.

I would agree with that, but if you can afford a M2 you can afford the repairs right???

Hopefully damage will be minimal but if it were my car I'd be expecting damage to the following

- Alloy wheel: buckled/out of round
- Tyre: Its knackered as we know
- Bent shocker
- Bent swing arm

In addition to the above then I'd be worrying about the following

- Damage to half shaft
- Damage to diff/diff input seal

I know it's an angled kerb but it's the impact and rate of deceleration the car suffered at the point the rear wheel hit. All that energy has to go somewhere and things will bend.

As I said, I hope it's not major despite him 'deserving' a lesson as such for driving like a melt.

You can lease an M2 for £590 / month. If, as with a lot of these lot, you're living with Mum and Dad then it is attainable even if not in a well paying job.

You know what they say, you can sleep in a car, but you can't oversteer a house into a roundabout in front of a crowd of young boys with camera phones and partial erections.

And yes, even if you were only part time at McDonald's and earned £13,000 a year, that gives you £1,018 a month after tax.

£600 / mo financing your M2
£300/month to be named driver on the insurance
£100 / mo for your IphoneX

And an unlimited number of #viplifestyle tags on your various social media pages.

Exactly - precisely how the great unwashed are able to access things they shouldn't be able to. The sooner PCP and leasing dies a death - and cars like these once more become the preserve of those who can actually afford them - the better.

I'm going to assume you mean older people who may have more experience, as the presumption is grown ups earn more?

lol that sounds awfully elitist. Can't have the proletariat rising or appearing to rise above their station in life.

Don't fret though, no one lusts after these cars. Proper exotica, bedroom wall cars, are still the preserve of the well-to-do set, as it should be.

Absolutely. Same with property. The sooner we get rid of mortgages so people can't have access to things they can't afford the better. Then those who can't afford to buy their house outright can go back to paying a monthly payment to rent one.... oh wait....

No. Nobody lusts after these 50k motor cars. Abosolutely nobody at all rolleyes

Not everyone wants impractical exotica. There's something to be said about high powered, high end BMWs and the like. However are they too accessible? Yes, I believe they are, which detracts from their appeal.
