Strong money for a VTR though does look great!

The advert heading is a little strange (GTi etc).

Have to agree looks very nice - I'd definitely want the VTS if I had one again

This is remarkably clean looking and sneaking into budget @ £4995

Oh I nearly bought one of those years ago - recently respayed in original red, brand new black hood, new tyres on refurbished alloys - it looked absolutely lovely...............

Couldn't find anywhere on the windscreen pillars where a magnet would actually stay put - I passed on the opportunity
Even in the photos you can tell they are made of steel as thick as tin foil

Looks great, I have been using my 1971 1300 for my 25KM e/w commute the last few weeks, took it on the Autobahn last week, rather scary.

It goes in two weeks and if we have the space I will getting another on my return to the UK, fun, simple, cheap and in my experience rather reliable (no winter useage!).

Looks lovely in green too.

It looks a great way to finish off the summer doesn't it!

I've had a bit of communication with the seller but unfortunately the car hasn't been converted to unleaded which puts me off a little as not sure I could be bothered using an additive.

Or am I being a bit to fussy?

For that price if the chassis is good, what does it cost to do?

I run mine on 5% bio and it seems ok.

Why not just run it on unleaded and see how you get on?

Looks nice, good colour combo, high(ish) miles but what seems to be good history, I am quite taken as I don't need a big V8, one is enough.

No price quoted, but might be worth a punt at around £4k. Not sure about the colour. Would probably go rat look with it and drop in an LS1 motor.

Maybe do some dumb max power st, with self tappers straight into the body too? It's clearly not worth much, so why not have a laugh with it!

You already have the chalkboard paint ready right? I'll bring the flame stencils biglaugh

Probably not a great idea - the guys at my local MG restoration place reckon they still get an enquiry once a month about which petrol to pop in them, and still carry out half a dozen head replacements a year because of valve seat recession.

I have to use lead replacement substitute in my 1982 635CSi; it's not a huge saga, a simple squeeze and measure bottle every time you top up.

For reference, I believe all BMW engines before 1984, except 'M' engines, need lead substitute otherwise you will be replacing the heads for the reason of buggered valve seats.

Slightly over but a classic mini with only 18k in the clock, looks like a BARGAIN!
