What a cheery looking Passat this is (didn't think I'd ever say that!): https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1155712

Allegro estate, £3750.

Can’t help but feel the decimal place is two digits out.

They are quirkily attractive, but disagree, definitely not worth £375000

Thanks Hugh.

Have a Volvo 480 Turbo for £2300 then. Rusty arches it says, but claims mega low miles. That seems a reasonable price.

42k miles and 1 owner. Charming in that flat red, and only £1,495!

Looks to be in fantastic condition. There is something interesting about rubbish cars in great condition! https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

yes Lovely period colour.

Much nicer than those dreary Saabs and Volvos.

In fairness it is a bit different and usable.

Personally I see it at £1995 though

Two bags of sand for that? I'd rather have a MX5.

Amen to that! Much like this - I remember my Dad's friend getting one just like this and thinking these 'tourings' were the bee's knees. https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1162594

Overpriced no doubt. But 50k miles. From the days when a late model special edition got you virtually nothing. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peugeot-309-Zest-3-Door...

Interesting car. From the eBay description, it looks like it’s been owned by a proper PHer.

He’s taken a base model 309, and polybushed the suspension, added some nice alloys from a 405, rustproofed the underside, and a bunch of other subtle mods and upgrades.

It looks like it’s in tip top mechanical and cosmetic condition. Not your typical low mileage “granny car” which hasn’t been serviced or taken above 40mph in the last five years!

Can't remember the last time I saw 4 people in an MX5

I have several, and a family, they don't get used much
