10% over budget for a 1994 Rover 200 1.6 Coupe with 41k miles:

https://www.usedcarsni.com/1994-Rover-200-Coupe-Ca...

Even has the original storage bags for the targa roof panels.

Amen to that! Much like this - I remember my Dad's friend getting one just like this and thinking these 'tourings' were the bee's knees. https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1162594

Yes I always liked them too...

Not quite as good looking as I recall
Just not the best colour. They look better in lighter and brighter colours

Friend of mine back in the mid 90s had a green 220 turbo coupe and I remember being insanely jealous of it.

Seriously handsome car.

If that had been a BMW or an Alfa Romeo they'd be worth a good amount by now.

When I was on my placement year at uni my boss was desperate for one of these to replace his Alfa 33, or alternatively he was considering the then-new Rover 620i - I believe they were launched at about the same time. There was a massive waiting list for them and sadly he never got to see it as during the wait he was laid off.

In the early-mid 90s I think these were one of the best mainstream hatchbacks out there.

That's astonishing. The true value must be closer to around £6.99 based on the typical mark up from that seller.

Cool little car - much more interesting than a similar age Fiesta or Metro.

Assuming the engine issues can be fixed (or a newer Peugeot/Citroen engine can be dropped in) that’s a great cheap little classic for less than a grand. No doubt some Citroen enthusiast will snap it up.

I love the way Citroen used to do mad stuff just for the sake of it...

Looks like a proper scam advert to me.

Update.. That dealer has had his account hacked, full of scam adverts.

It often seems to happen on a Saturday evening, I wonder if Ebay staff don't work on a Sunday?

I'd sooner pay £3k for a Xantia than a 1999 Robin...

Except that it effectively "white goods"

Why would anyone want it ?

You could buy a normal one for probably £500 and buy 5 more should it break and you want to repeat the mistake.
