A little post bank holiday classic/retro...
Sunbeam Alpine (Rapier) Fastback. An interesting looking thing. I quite like it though. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C908223
I just love these little pugs. Bring it out in the rain only and you don't need to worry about the hood. Looks good value at £1,850. 1.6 manual cti. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C908213
Now that's a healthy 70s shade for this Volvo. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C890948

Hi, just spotted this. The Burgundy Red 325i is mine!
Hi m3kuks. I'd love to buy it in order to do a comparison to my merc 190 2.6 also on an F plate! Alas I have 5 cars already so must slim down rather than enlarging the fleet. How do you find it to drive?Good luck with the sale! Get a reader ride up about the new car as well

Why has he not taken any pics of the passenger side of the Volvo? (I like it, though)
For Citroen CX fans, a late Series 1 Pallas - this one's been up for sale for over a year, and this was the one I was going to see until an irresistible Series 2 GTi (non-turbo) got in the way......
I have to use lead replacement substitute in my 1982 635CSi; it's not a huge saga, a simple squeeze and measure bottle every time you top up.
For reference, I believe all BMW engines before 1984, except 'M' engines, need lead substitute otherwise you will be replacing the heads for the reason of buggered valve seats. Not necessarily true. I frequently ran my 1983 635CSi on super unleaded with no real problem at all.
Having said that, you can still buy proper tetraethyl lead solution to add to unleaded petrol - now go out there and poison the atmosphere properly as God said you should!

Why not just run it on unleaded and see how you get on?
Probably not a great idea - the guys at my local MG restoration place reckon they still get an enquiry once a month about which petrol to pop in them, and still carry out half a dozen head replacements a year because of valve seat recession.I have to use lead replacement substitute in my 1982 635CSi; it's not a huge saga, a simple squeeze and measure bottle every time you top up.

I think I can explain my irrational love of these things. As a child my pocket money went straight to the local toy shop every week to buy another Matchbox car and the elderly owners had one of these in baby blue. Surprisingly decent rally cars too.Pothole said:
They used to win Group N regularly, didn't they?
Wiki: The 1.3 Skoda Estelle was an unlikely hero of the Rallying world in the '70s and '80s. The Škoda Motorsport works team won their class a staggering 17 years in a row on the RAC (Around Britain) Rally. John Haugland was the inspirational Norwegian rally driver responsible for Škoda's success.minerva said:
