I've seen long weekends at luxury spa resorts which are less relaxing than those seats look to be

I used to be taken to school in one many years ago. Comfy cars.

No mods whatsoever.

Bar the headlamps...

Still a cool car, Dad had a new BX estate in 88 and another in 90. Big soft spot for them biggrin

My Dad had one as a company car once when I was young, and I was amazed you could raise the suspension up and down.

My stty bridge-car Vauxhall is going at last and I'm keeping my eye on this thread for something interesting up to £2k. Were there any common occurrences in vol.1 I should trawl sites for? I want avoid something being so obscure it costs a fortune to repair or source parts and £2k couldn't get me any common classics (MG Midget f.ex) in decent nick.

My first thoughts were that you'd started drinking early on a Friday. Then I looked at it properly and realised I like it too. Perhaps I started drinking too early ... ?

One of my Aunts had a 127 in Malaysia in the 1970s. It was bathtub blue. That's all I can remember about it.

My dad ran one briefly in the early 80s. Nippy little thing, rather sweet.

Sticks.

I had a couple of the later ones back in the day. The 5 speed 1050 was nippy, fun and economical.

Another early one here http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C925677
