yes!! he sent that advert as a link as a price guide. PS i have sent you a direct message re a 88 CX Turbo i have found......
Have sent you a PM asking you to redirect to my current e-mail, as PH Admin system doesn't allow me to update my e-mail details, and I don't know who to contact at PH to get it corrected.

£9500 is very very optimistic for a lowly 22 TRS - even the sought-after GTi Turbo 1/Turbo 2 cars struggle to make eight grand at the moment.

Any CX attempting to command five figures will need to be practically museum condition and with absolutely zero rust - difficult now that the youngest saloons will be at least 28 years old. Having said that, DD Classics in Kew claim to have sold a Series 1 2400 GTi for £25k (it was LHD and on 38,000 miles), whilst Seymour Pope in Kings Langley have a Series 2 25 GTi for £13,440 - identical to mine, but LHD and imported from Japan.

This link will help you with that - I had the same problem a while back with emails going to an email address that had long since died

Not necessarily. It had some corrosion problems a few years ago, more than seven years ago in the serious case. What matters is not what state it was in in 2010 but that there is evidence of proper restoration work.

Most of that MOT history is just noise: fuses, bulbs, poorly lubricated locks, crap wiper blades etc. Which is entirely normal for a car that basically hasn't been used for some years.

And it's cheap in compensation.

I agree entirely with the comments about MOT history, but I'm not sure it's all that cheap. A colour that very few like, carb-fed manual and a basic spec does not offset the low mileage in my view.

In fairness, he invites offers but I wouldn't pay more than a grand for it, and I love these 190s.

Some people like having an uncomplicated spec. It's not as if there are massive numbers of RHD survivors on the market....

RHD 190 = survivors? Really?

I see quite a lot, and there are always lots for sale, often in much more appealing engine, trim and colour combos than this one. They make regular appearances on the Brage 1-5 thread.

Granted, but I hardly see any in this part of London and the one or two I might see in a month are generally the same one....or two.

That's weird. My current e-mail does work, and I checked it just now, hoping that your e-mail would be in there.

Let me set up another one, send you a PM again and see if that works.

I do like the 190 above, it could be a great little project if it checks out. How about this 190 instead: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mercedes-Benz-190-1989/...

90k miles and £1,600. I like the ad.

Nice interior colours, and silver makes it look quite modern. I'd still prefer the 'e' and, probably, auto.

The tax free XR3i cabrio (I know, I know) I bought in Germany in 1989 had a number plate not very different from that one. I was a junior Captain; one needed to be closer to a Lt Col than I was to afford one of these.

OK with the engine and auto gearbox, it's going to be slow. But as a retro mini estate, it looks great. Sub 100k miles and £2,295 with no rust claimed. https://www.gumtree.com/p/bmw/bmw-e30-318i-automat...

Saw that on Autotrader a couple of weeks ago and thought it wouldn't be the worst way to spend £2k.

I love these little CTis. If only I had bought one prior to them following the GTis up in value! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peugeot-205-Cti-Cabrio/...

I've done it again (must be the 4th or 5th time on this thread!) and bought this:

It's an absolute hoot to drive, just like a go cart.
