That has a certain something... then I remember the very poor results of the 10,000 Lada crash tests I've seen on Russian dash cams....

It's actually quite rare for being a saloon isn't it ?

This advert isn't written particularly brilliantly, far from it, however the car looks fantastic, and if it goes for the same price as the one from earlier in the thread I could well end up bidding on it

Ah yes, this looks like it could definitely ruin my life. What a comfortable seat to wait for the tow truck in though....

They did a rather well appointed "Monaco" special edition I recall.

Yes, mate of mine had a 1987 example from new. It was like being in a 80s DFS advert. Huge amounts of brown-ness, heavily processed leather, carpet and velour everywhere, and Sade thumping out 'Smooth Operator' 24/7.

I was quite jealous of it for a while as a status symbol (this was back when company car culture was probably the most dominant badge of commercial rank in the UK economy) and I didn't have a company car at all. But I wouldn't fancy one now, whereas if I saw al older Renault 16TX or a Renault 30 I would be very tempted.

You will probably get that question answered on the barge 1-5 thread.
A lot of knowledge to be found there.

I wish people would stop posting stuff like the Jaguar. It's glorious and (after a glass or 2) I'm struggling to find reasons why I shouldn't be swapping my shed for it...
