An incredibly early Sunderland built Nissan Bluebird. These really are a pleasure to drive for such an old car. My mother always said my grandads' really did feel like a "big posh executive car" back in the day. I owned a 2.0 SLX twice. A truly lovely car.

Don't see many of these anymore - especially not a one owner car -

Great simple nonsense car.

Could do way much worse than this if liking for a city/1st car and you probably won’t lose much/anything on it.

Great spot.

Those bread van Polos were the first car of choice for nearly all my mates at 17, they were about £500 then, throw in an alpine and some 6x9s and boom, no more bus to 6th form.

(I bought an Escort instead which was from a different century, I had a SIXTEEN valve engine!)

Likewise, I had a dark green 2.3 manual and I still rate it as one of my favourite cars I've ever owned. K738 BTN, sadly now no more from what I can tell.

Already sold. I'm not surprised. It was well priced. I wonder if it will turn up for sale again in two days for double the price.

I’m tempted by this as a daily, I just think it would be a shame to use it all year round

I used to own a 2.2 VTEC sold it for £2k probably 15 years ago

I'd love to buy one back but at £10k I'd have a GT86

Nice. Proper workhorse that also, in my view, is one of the nicest looking estates of the time.

I think it depends on the engine. I gather some were better than others. Otherwise, why the heck not?

I decided long ago to buy cars that impressed me rather than to impress others. As a result, I've had a few surprisingly good cars that most folk pour scorn on, simply because it is what the herd does.

Try it.
