Outing with the boys, a few months ago:

Nice group with super quick Bug and 3-door Rangie.

All lined up for the drone shots.

Quick 996 Turbo.

Nothing wrong with a quick Volvo.

Yup, that's a Series One Lancia Fulvia in original paint.

Las bit of a recent Mercedes collection visit. The 60ish cars were introduced by Mercedes Enthusiast magazine a year ago.

Adenauers are rare as hens teeth. Try one before you die and realize how much better cars they are compared to period Rolls and Bentleys: really!

IMO modern Benz history started with the Heckflosse w110 (1961-1968). Agreed the 1953 Ponton could be the more acurate starting point. With the w111 (1959-1965) Benz established itself. Just look at this beauty: the size and comfort and power and safety are uncompromized.

This Ikonengold 2.3 litre fourpot with four box remains as one of my favorite cars in the collection.

We will dive into this one some time later.

Last friday's cars & coffee meeting:

Fantastic 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo running like clockwork and with 285k kms on.

Very rare and pristine one-owner 1969 Opel Commodore GS is a true time capsule.

Another insane entry was this 1978 early 3.3 930.

Speedgelb jewel.

Everything goes: 2006 Alfa Romeo 147 2 litre, 1978 930, and evil twins Porsche 997.2 GT3 RS.

Triumph TR7 / TR8 meeting:

Glorious Frits Campagne TR8. Not standard and imo a great alternative to any period V8 TVR. At least in this fettle.

Proper and tidy white four looks the part.

This red one was picked up by a 19-year old and needs proper work. At least it gets some decent milage before pampering.

His dad is a mechanic and likes to fettle on the 930. Until recent and he 'sold' the Turbo to his son. Gulp!
It goes without saying we became friends wink

More from a recent #DauwtrappeRS C&C:

Lowrider on 19 inchers.

1978 930 crowd magnet.

2.4 outlaw gem.

Serious street weapon 997.2 GT3 RS

On a more relaxing note: 993 Cab.

Yours truly in good company.

Insane wild 3.3 short stroke outlaw. Must be heard to be believed!

I love those rough looking classics. Especially when they are as pretty as this VW Karmann Ghia.
Did you know between 1955 and 1974 almost half a million were built?
With 820 kgs a 50 ps 1300 is a fun driving car.

Star of the show had to be the surprisingly small but insanely beautiful Alfa Romeo Montreal with compact V8. It's a cruiser, in case you wondered.

Well, it's not only classic cars my eyes see. This Hellcat could not be missed: loud in many ways.

More toys: these 60s and 70s Yanks are pretty easy to improve. Like... this one.

A good day at the Dutch Louwman Museum:

Outing with the #DauwtrappeRS friends.

F1 exhibit: amazing cars and the Mercedes-Benz W196 Fangio racer had to be the highlight.

Huge contrasts: Africa Rally winner and rare XKSS.

The Alfa Romeo vault. OK, some Maserati, Ferrari and Lamborghini are allowed.

Great pictures - especially enjoy the classic Porsche content.

There's guaranteed to be a great turnout of amazing classics at the Silverstone Classic event, this month of August.

Have you been before or intend to visit?

August 2021 C&C:

I guess there's a reason why an 80s BMW 635 CSi is every petrolhead's favorite.

Sticking to the 80s theme with this famous G-model.

Pretty 912 in the way of a nice line-up.

A bit of a marmite car: 996 Turbo.

Local C&C meeting. Always lots of Americana. But just check out these hidden gems:

Cute 1964 (?) Triumph TR2 next to a rare 1970 Datsun fairlady 1600. First gen Celica!

Flaming 1971 Chevrolet Camaro Rallye Sport.

Gorgeous 1959 Borgward Isabella Coupe.

A must see hidden gem car collection is Metropole, in Druten, The Netherlands.
You need to make an appointment though.

Very nice Volvo P1800 on period correct wheels. Love this thing and when the numbers fall a similar gem will be in my 10-piece practical classic garage.

Emmanual's 912 killer VW bug in full glory.

Inside the collection: ground floor is a partly for sale display. Dunno if this Goggomobil is. So cute...

Guus' first series Lancia Fulvia 1.3 S Rallye in full glory. I'd say that's patina right there.

For sale is this 1959 AC AceRoadster M0444. Wow...

Fifth #DauwtrappeRS (check Insta) cars & coffee, in Apeldoorn.

Porsche 997.2 GT3 RS has to be one of the finest roadlegal weapons to attack the roads.

Hard to beat this 1978 930: road presence!

Bertil's 2.4 '2.7 RS' tribute is perfection.

Loud Cayman on great wheels.

Another 997.2: Speedgelb jewel.
