More.

1961 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider looking good.

Classy office: Alfa got it right, back in the 60s.

The classy Alfa was flanked by a duo of Big Healeys.

Backlit 1963 (?) Porsche 356 B.

1967 Ferrari 330GT 2+2 ready for action.

When Dutch specialist Tachyon Motorsport was based in Soest (- now based in Eemnes) I dropped by to drive a Mitsubishi Evo6 and enjoy some Porsche 962 tech. Awesome.

I certainly thought the Evo6 was one of the most impressive cars I drove: it looks ordinary and has sensational and groundbreaking performance.

Suspension set-up worth 20k euros adds to the experience: firm and comfort and insane cornering speeds and grip.

Only a handful outfits can manage kits like this 962: imagine Bellof, Ickx, Bell and the lot drove these and today these Porsches are still active on the tracks!

Not an ordinary engine. The 3.2 litre boxer six powered 962 has an incredible list of victories.

Some more from the Gijs van Lennep Legend rally:

There's always a Herbie around when you least expect it...

Details of a 105-series Alfa Romeo Giulia: in my eye a beyond revolutionary car when you think it's a 1963 design.

Fast road spec perfection.

Oof, that Spider. Big Healey is a Dutch rally gun favorite.

Small, fast and light coupe perfection.

More about that Alfa Romeo outfit tour, last May:

Italian Car Specialist Garage Van Neerijnen has a busy workfloor. What you see is only half of it, and upstairs there's storage an space for two cars to build or restore.

Italian Car Specialist Garage Van Neerijnen courtyard always have treats in store. This saturday a special pack added some extra colours to the parking.

This #DauwtrappeRS GT Veloce is a spectacular build by another Alfa specialist, and was well received by the crowd and personnel.

More summer 2023 Cars & Coffee: Octane Scramble 4 June 2023

Ultra rare Lamborghini Islero S joined the ranks.

Nice hide for a Jaguar Mk2.

Lexus LFA love here.

All sorts of everything: MGB GT, lovely Morgan, Jaguar E-type and a G model Porsche 911.

The British Bulldog has not changed much...

The 2023 edition of the Gijs van Lennep Classic: start in De Bilt city

1967 Ferrari 330GT 2+2: compare this to any English GT and weep.

Nice duo: 1968 Dogbone Ford Escort Mk1, so an early car, and a twolitre Porsche 911 from the same year.

I just love the Lancia Fulvia: yes, it's a so much better drive than the period Alfa GT. Elegant and comfortable car.

A 2017 Nico Ockhuisen visit memory:

I have a serious soft spot for the W114/5 series and the follow up W123. Check out this nice coupe in Extreme Elfenbein.

More W123: Kombi love.

And then there's the 300-series: Adenauer limo. The W186 series offers all you can expect from a car that in period could easily compete with the equivalent, like a Bentley or Rolls Royce.

Check https://www.ockhuisencollectie.nl/ for more.

A good morning out with the Italian Car Lovers.

Tachyon Motorsport: Saturday, but prepping Mille Miglia cars just the same. Imaculate Jaguar XK120.

Now there's a great way to display your die cast models...

Everything goes, as long as it's Italian: twolitre 147, twolitre GTV and 6.3 litre 740 ps Ferrari F12.

Yeah, well..

Perfect picture ruined by a briefcase...

In 2017, I was at Charles Serry in Nieuwegein (Nls) and saw this tasty replica of Old Number One, based on a Bentley Mk6.

Fantastic details. This must be a hoot to drive on a sunday morning.

Road legal!

The engine borrowed from the Mk6 is hardly a 6.5 or 8 litre, but that would be a step too far for a road legal car. The original Old Number One won LM twice!

Dutch Octane Scramble 04, last Sundaymorning:

Good to see a Series 1 (1970) Lamborghini Espada actually has a lower roofline than a 1980s Alfa Romeo GTV6!

Cool Sunday morning Octane Magazine NL Scramble 04 at Amersfoort. Short hoon to pick up a dozen #DauwtrappeRS and then exploring the field: 350 special cars to view and owners to meet. Saw many familiar faces to talk to.

Favorite Le Mans Blu Alfa Romeo Giulia Nuova.

More:

Our gang, parked as a group. As you do.

1965 Lancia Flavia 1.8 and what a beauty!
MGB is not bad too.

Marcos interior: wow.

Lancia Beta Spider was a sure 80s favorite. Between 1974 and 1982 a mere 8,594 were built.

Autobianchi A113 in Abarth guise: I like it and now I want one.

More Gijs van Lennep Classic rallye.

Lots of Porsche 911 and this one looks the absolute bizz.

On the other end of the power spectrum: back in the day SAAB won rallyes with this little bugger. Two-stroke!

More 911. In my eye the Targa is the definition of the model.

The cute SAAB aero.

Sleek E-type is quite something else...

This looks good... but it's a wrap. So, no...

More 911: the grid was packed...

Pretty cool selection of about 400 cars.

There's always a Moggie around when you need one.

A spring 2023 Alfa Romeo workshop tour ended at the Tachyon Motorsport outfit:

Summer 2023 this Spyker C8 GT2 R was autioned at RM Sotheby's https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/lm23/le-mans/lo...

Between 2005 and 2008 this car raced the tracks and it did well at the 2005 Le Mans until something broke...

Dutch Octane magazine, Scramble 04:

This Volvo 244 was one of the absolute highlights.

A #DauwtrappeRS hack: the Justin Alfa Romeo Nuova Giulia 1600.

Sleek Ford Mustang Mach 1: this is the 1971-1973 model.

Bart brought his spectacular Porsche 911 G Model

For me this is 911 perfection.
