Friday afternoon Alfa Romeo workshop visit:

Not a rare sight at this place.

Favorite brand. Lettering on the Kamm back of a mint 1600 Junior Zagato.

Love those on later GTV's.

Classic Wings & Wheels 2019:

Classic Wings & Wheels 2019: uurtje of half 10 en het veld loopt vol. -Vliegbasis Gilze-Rijen.

Wow, when a system camera can make a high contrast back lit snap like this and still holds the colors i'ts a proper tool. Overview from the Ferrari corner.

Slippery corner mishap. This GTV touched a 635CSi nose to nose.

Alexander van der Lof (yes, family of...) warms up the Maserati 250. Harry Bootsma watches, listens and smells.

Spring this year I did an AMG article for Dutch SL Mercedes Revue which is recently published:

Brute GT with the tasty biturbo 4 litre.

Old skool R129 SL with a NA big displacement V8.

First gen SLK with a 55 stuffed in.

The only Dutch one in red.

The lot.

DauwtrappeRS Dawn Raid number 04 to Porsche Center Gelderland, the biggest PC in NL. The Mark Wegh collection boasts 130 amazing VW, Audi and Porsches.

More of the first Ferrari I drove, the wonderful Dino 308 GT4:

Gandini's finest hour? I like to think so.

These badges look so good and upgrade the style by a mile. Why are modern badges so awful?

Fiat parts bin door handles shared with the X1/9. Love the side mirrors.

Dogleg 5 is easy to slam. The V8 needs some revs to go like a Targa Florio racer. Forward cabin helps the experience.

I prefer period Porsche (911 2.7 G Model) seats but this Dino offers more speed if you really dare to go there. Easy driving it just did not like...

A good one for 70-100k euro / dollar these days.

Morgan stuff:

Apart from the silly braking light this looks so good.

Three wheeler does appeal.

A Morgan (six) over a 911? I like to think so.

Some heroes will be unsung forever. Ben Huisman has decades of autosport history under his belt only known to a few enthusiasts who are interested or still around.

Starting from the late 50s up to the early 80s most stories were never written down. I had a most enjoyable afternoon in autumn 2018.

Most will only recognize the racer, the track and the year. Ben on the left and famous Luv singer Marga Scheide on the right. The 1975 Zandvoort win was his first in F1.

Nuff conversation starters here.

Rare as hens teeth:

The 50s/60s/70s middle class van. The bakers, grocers and plumbers of Europe expanded their business with the help of cars they they threw away after 5 years to buy bigger and better. Try to find a Daf pick-up to find none.

Or an early Renault R4 van for that matter. No where to find but gone to dust.
